MARIA CHIEF CALF, of the Blood Reserve, passed away suddenly in Lethbridge, on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the age of 33 years.

A Wake will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with the Right Reverend Sidney Black officiating.

Following the service, Maria will be laid to rest in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life for Dwaine Kjos, alias “Woody” who passed away December 10, 2019 will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Church, 2406-11 Ave. South, Lethbridge, AB with lunch to follow.

1969 – 2020

Ms. Cheri Ellen Komar of Lethbridge, beloved daughter of John and Clara Komar, passed away of a heart attack at Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the age of 51 years. Cheri had a long career in nursing and senior’s health. She was a loving a generous person, always looking for ways to help family and friends. She enjoyed many hobbies and was always busy. She will be greatly missed by her parents John and Clara Komar and she was pre-deceased by her grandparents John and Mary Komar and Daniel and Sophia Agisheff. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.

JAMES “JIM” PATTERSON, beloved husband of Virginia Patterson, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 74 years.

TILLIE ELSIE SCHMIDT (BORSCHNECK)

Born February 28th, 1935 and passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on January 22nd, 2020, after a valiant effort for life.

Tillie was predeceased by her husband John James Schmidt in November 2009. She is survived by her son Gary (Rhonda) Schmidt of Lethbridge County and her daughter Debbie (Brian) Erdos of Coaldale. Two beautiful grandchildren Brittany (Jordan) Abraham and Brad (Amanda) Erdos, as well as two great- grandsons Carson and Connor Erdos.

As per her request there will be no funeral, only a private gravesite ceremony for her family. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Foundation.

SUSIE UNGER, beloved wife of the late John J Unger, of Coaldale, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Her heart’s desire to meet her Saviour face to face has now been realized.

Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, on Friday, January 31, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Susie will be laid to rest in the COALDALE CEMETERY; close friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:00 A.M.

A Service of Remembrance will follow at COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114 – 18 Street, Coaldale, AB, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Gary Burke officiating.
