Gary Arthur

1943 – 2020

Gary Stuart Arthur of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Elizabeth Arthur, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the age of 76 years.

Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia on October 21, 1943, Gary was the only son of the late James Clarence Arthur and Katherine (Kay) Arthur who predeceased him.

Gary is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Anne Arthur; daughters Ginger (Russ) Arthur Ciesla, Christina (Kevin) Arthur Dick, and Katherine (Orrin) Dell; grandsons Brandon Norris, Carter Dell, Sidney Dell, and Grayson Dick; aunts Rena Arbuckle of Southerlands River, NS, and Eileen Arbuckle of Mahone Bay, NS.

Gary travelled west in 1967 after seeing a sign saying “go west” and took the train to Edmonton where he landed a job with the bank of Nova Scotia. His financial career took him to jobs with the Credit Union, Heritage Inn Hotels and Magenta Management. Until diagnosed with Dementia, Gary was an active member with Park Meadows Baptist Church, teaching bible studies to parishioners. Gary loved woodworking, listening to the radio, coin and stamp collecting during his many travels with his wife Liz.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Good Samaritan West Highland Centre, the Chinook Regional Hospital, the staff from the Emergency Room and especially Dr. Orr for taking excellent care of Gary during his final stay.

A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, March 6, 2020, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Jennifer Hall
1971 – 2020
Jennifer Joan Hall, passed away unexpectedly in Lethbridge on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the age of 48 years.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Darcy Babin of Taber; mother Judy Hall of Castor; stepson Joshua Shawn of Thailand; brother Michael (Arlene) Hall of Blackfalds; sister Lana Hall of Castor; nephews Clinton, Brandon and Vance Hall; in-laws Ron and Dorothy Babin. She is also survived by her best friends Melissa Rondeau-Leavitt, Wanda Campbell, Paige Osburne and the light of her life, Paige’s daughter Beretta as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father Francis Hall.
Jennifer was born in Edmonton on December 23, 1971. She grew up in Castor and later moved to Edmonton where she completed her education to become a registered nurse. She then moved to Taber and after working a short time in rural hospitals, she started working at the Edith Cavell Care Centre in Lethbridge. Jennifer was employed at Edith Cavell for over twenty years. She had a heart of gold and always put her family and patients first. Jennifer enjoyed travelling, as well over the last few years she enjoyed spending time in the mountains hunting and fishing. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.

Danny Langhofer
1953 – 2020
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Danny Andrew Langhofer passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the age of 66 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service in celebration of Danny’s life will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 – 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at http://www.southlandfuneral.com.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Katie; children Brett (Corinne), Jenna (Stephen), Stewart and Jessica (Jay); much loved grandsons Wyler and Dallin; mother Ruth Hill; siblings Wanda (Ed), Bev (Emil), Reg (Joan) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Danny was born at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge on May 1, 1953.
He will be forever remembered by many friends and family members in the Taber and Lethbridge areas as one of the best carpenters in southern Alberta. He was a kind hearted, gentle man who didn’t pass judgement on others, provided for his family and was always available to give advice or help out a friend who needed a break.
A special thank you to Dr. Henkelman and the ICU nursing staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the care that our beloved Danny received in his final days.

George Nyhoff

1939 – 2020

Mr. William George Herman Nyhoff of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Sharron Nyhoff, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the age of 80 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 20, 2020, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
