KLEIN

“Gone Shopping”

MARY MAY KLEIN, beloved wife of Bernard Klein of Lethbridge, passed away at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

Mary is survived by Bernard, her loving husband of 62 years, her son, Tim (Marcella) and two deeply cherished grandsons, Paul and Mark Klein, as well as her son-in-law Paul Oevering. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Klein, as well as her parents, sister and brother.

Mom married her best friend and loving companion on August 24, 1957. The couple worked very hard to make a good living and home. Eventually, they were blessed with two special children, Wendy and Tim. Mom was a fantastic homemaker who loved to clean and bake. There was always room at her table—not to mention the aroma of good food! Her true pride and joy came with the birth of her first grandson, Paul, followed closely by number two, Mark. As their “Baba”, she popped lots of buttons! Mary worked for the Lethbridge School District #51 for 16 years in various schools. She mostly enjoyed her time at the elementary schools and was a hero for the underdog. Lastly, Mom enjoyed the simple things like a walk down to Helen Schuler with Dad or chatting with friends, that they made wherever they went.

Well, Mom, you did a great job! Now it’s time for you to rest. We love and miss you.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Donna Alm officiating. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of your choice.
