GRIGG
MURRAY DOUGLAS GRIGG – 73, of Coaldale, Alberta. On May 03, 2020 Murray lost his battle with brain cancer.
Friends are welcome to pay their respects to Murray on Wednesday May 6, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00pm at Salmon and Sons Funeral Home (433 Stubb Ross Road South, Lethbridge). Due to the restrictions on public gatherings, please wait in your vehicle until a staff member comes to get you, also please wear a mask if possible. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday May 7, 2020 for those who have been asked to attend. Friends and family may view the Service online by visiting http://www.salmonandsons.ca.
A Graveside Service and interment will be done in Bayfield Cemetery, Ontario. These arrangements are entrusted to Falconer Funeral Home.

Kesler, Gordon Jay
August 7, 1934 – April 29, 2020
Gordon Jay Kesler was born in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was the third child of DeVore Samuel Kesler and Jessie Idella Godfrey. He passed away in Calgary and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Violet Miller, their three children, Gordon Kesler (Caryn), Robert Kesler (LaWana), Judith Cobb (Howard), 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister LaVore and brother Owen. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Arthur.

Walter Kostiuk
1924 – 2020
Mr. Walter Kostiuk of Lethbridge, beloved father, and grandfather passed away at home on May 1, 2020, at the age of 96 years.
Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Anna; his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters, in the Ukraine and son in law Jean Lambert.
He is survived by his 3 daughters Nadia (Don) Westoby, Katharine Lambert and Maria (Bob) Maine; son Paul Kostiuk; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Walter was born in Lvov, Ukraine, in 1924. He grew up loving farm work and working cattle with his dad. When the war broke out, he ended up being a prisoner of war and was sent to work camps in Germany, Italy and England. In 1950 he met his loving wife Anna and they married on October 28, in Rochdale Lancaster, England. They came to Canada in 1953 with their daughter Nadia and lived in the Coaldale area since. He worked as a farm hand. Then at St. Mary’s River Irrigation and then CP Rail until he retired after 20 years. He has farmed all his life and living on the homestead since 1967.
He looked forward to his once a week trip to Perlich Action Market on Thursdays, buying cattle and visiting with his friends. Walter was very easy going and honest, he loved to spend time with his family and friends. We as a family knew there were no complaints and there were always good things said about him. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.

TARBELL
1940 — 2020
JOAN LORINDA TARBELL (HUGHSON) beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on April 29, 2020 at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her husband Martin Tarbell in April of 1998 and many special friends she met through the years.
Joan was born in Edmonton, AB on May 13, 1940, the second child of Roy and Isabel Hughson (Hughes). She was raised in Edmonton before moving to Calgary and then Lethbridge in 1973 where she raised her children. After her marriage to Martin, she lived in Monarch for 21 years before returning to Lethbridge in 2013 for the remaining years of her life.
Joan will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Roy Uttley (Whitecourt), Darrell (Kathy) Uttley (Whitecourt), Adam (Holly) Uttley (Calgary), and her daughter Shelley (Tim) Terpstra (Pincher Creek) as well as her many grandchildren, Evan (Blythe), Garrit, Bryce (Melisa), Kyle, Serena, Kaylee, and Nick and her great-grandchildren, Allison and Owen.
Joan will also be missed by her sisters Carol (Fred) Brown, Abbottsford, BC, Diane Dickens (Lyle), Abbottsford, BC, and brothers Roger (Anne) Hughson, Calgary, and Allan Hughson of Okotoks. Also left to mourn, Joan’s dearest friend more than 30 years Laurie whose friendship she treasured always.
Joan loved learning and at the age of 37 she returned to Lethbridge Community College to obtain her diplomas in Accounting and Management. In the years that followed, she attended University receiving a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Lethbridge and a Master’s Degree in Human Services at the College of Great Falls, Montana.
Joan is noted for her work with a team in establishing the YOU’RE WORTH IT program—a youth to work program that she was Director for the first year of operation. Joan also worked for eight years aiding physically and mentally handicapped adults a role she enjoyed immensely.
Joan loved gardening, reading, crosswords, puzzles and watching sports and her favorite shows, most of all though she loved helping people and building relationships. Her greatest and deepest relationship was with her Lord Jesus Christ who was the foundation and hope of her life.
There will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life may be held on a later date.
