BARE SHIN BONE

FREDRICK MARK BARE SHIN BONE passed away on the Blood Reserve, AB on August 7th, 2020 at the age of 35 years. A Candlelight Vigil will take place at Shirley Black Plume’s residence, Moses Lake, on Thursday, August 13th at 5:00 pm. A Wake Service will be held at the late Tara and Allan Bare Shin Bone’s residence, Blood Reserve on Sunday, August 16th at 7:00 p.m continuing all night. The Funeral Service will be held at the Bare Shine Bone residence beginning at 11:00 am on Monday, August 17th. Interment in the Blood Band Cemetery.

BRUINSMA

JOHN SIEBE BRUINSMA passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

He is survived by his children Siebe (Marlene), Yvonne, Lucinda (Bill), Henry (Debbie), Theodore (Sandra), John (Denise), Grace (Len), Theresa (Rob), Sidney (Stephanie), David (Wendy) and Jonathan (Kathrine), 19 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Grietje Bakker and many nephews, nieces and their families.

Dad was predeceased by his parents, Siebe and Lutske, his brothers, Thijs, Sijmon, Folkert and Abe, and his sisters, Rika, Trijntje, Fetje, Feikje and Geertje. He was also predeceased by a beloved grandson Matthew Bruinsma and great-grandson Lane Bates.

Dad was born in Arum, Friesland, the Netherlands on June 19, 1929. His life of adventure and travel began when he sailed out of Rotterdam the day before his 18th birthday to immigrate to Canada. An entrepreneur at heart he worked at many jobs to support his family. Later he was able to combine his love of travel with his career. With the help of his family he created several successful travel-related businesses. He retired to Lethbridge in 2004 to be closer to family.

We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Blue Sky Lodge, the AHS home care team and the doctors and nurses of St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and compassion.

The family will gather for a private graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery.

Cecile Chute

1927 – 2020

Cecile Marie Chute (Bouchard) of Coaldale, Alberta, beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Chute, passed away peacefully at home with family on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at the age of 93 years.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00pm, on Friday, August 14, 2020, at ST. AMBROSE PARISH, 1513 23rd Ave, Coaldale, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at ST. AMBROSE PARISH, 1513 23rd Ave, Coaldale, Alberta, with Father Ian Gagne celebrant. Internment to be held at a later date.

Due to the restrictions in place from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – the Funeral Service will be limited to 90 attendees. Including family and Funeral Home Staff. Masks are required inside the church, please provide your own.

JACOBS, Gordon

January 8, 1940 – August 9, 2020

With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Gordon Willard Jacobs. A beloved father, son, brother, and husband, Gord died suddenly at home on Sunday, August 9th. Gord is survived by his wife Joan Jacobs as well as his sons Barry (Cathy), Jason (Kim), Michael (Pamela) and David (Jennifer), along with eleven treasured grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, East Stake Centre, 4105 Forestry Avenue, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family on Saturday, August 15th from 10:00 to 10:45 am, including a reception line. A closed Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am. Seating is limited to family, with limited extra seating available until we reach the seating capacity. A reminder that all who attend will need to wear a mask and observe social distancing.

JONES

SHARON ANN JONES, cherished wife of Garry Jones, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 56 years.

Besides her loving husband Garry, Sharon is survived by her mother Linda (Wes) Real; father Ted (Kay) Lybbert; sister Sandra McNeely; brother Colin (Nancy) Lybbert as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Sharon was always full of life and laughter. She had such a kind heart, always willing to help others. If you had the privilege to meet Sharon, you would surely never forget her. She loved spending time outdoors, especially camping. Sharon became a proud active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sharon was courageous throughout her battle with various health issues. She fought hard until the end, and ultimately chose to be with God.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish may make a memorial donation in Sharon’s name to a charity of your choice.

A private family inurnment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Jennifer Miller

1981 – 2020

Miss Jennifer Miller, beloved companion to Mr. Ray Presta, passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the age of 39 years.

Jennifer is survived by her mother Joanne (Brad) Carson; father Robert Miller (Lorna Madigan); children Emily Fletcher, Allison Miller, Edward Miller; sister Kerri (Mahdi Kahou) Miller; brothers Matthew Miller, Daniel (Samantha Van Rijn) Miller; step-sister Cheri (Jeff Gunderson) Carson; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; as well as Opa and Oma Donkersgoed.

Jennifer was predeceased by Grandpa and Grandma Ellerman and her step-brother Kyle Madigan.

Dr. Ronald “Ron” Parton

1937 – 2020

Mr. Ronald “Ron” Parton of Lethbridge, Beloved husband to the late Shari Parton passed away at Cedar Creek Adaptacare in Lethbridge on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the age of 82.

Ronald was born on December 28, 1937 to Burton & Mable Parton in Limon Colorado. He graduated from New Plymouth high school in 1956. He later went on to graduate from Idaho State University for his undergraduate degree. He then obtained his PHD in Sociology from the University of Idaho. He was a professor in the United States for many years before taking a position at the University of Lethbridge. He was loved by his students as a kind, caring and compassionate instructor. He was well known for helping recovering alcoholics which he took great satisfaction in. Ron was known to be there for his friends and family and for his generous heart. Ronald was predeceased by his wife Shari. Ronald and his beloved wife Shari married In August 27, 1961 in Pocatello, Idaho. Together they had four children which were their pride and joy.

Ronald was survived by his son Jeff Parton & grandson Ty of Mercer Island, Washington; daughter Jenni Parton & grandson Calvin of Lethbridge; daughter Julie (Brent) Woods & grandchildren Tessa, Ryan and Levi of Lethbridge; daughter Jennifer Needham & Grandchildren Seth, Cody and Shelby of Lethbridge; sister Evelyn (Delmar) Skeen of New Plymouth Idaho; sister Linda (Don) Dunn of Albany Oregon.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Shari Parton; parents Burton and Mable Parton; brother Bernie Parton; sister Barbra Woodward as well as his granddaughter Katelyn Needham.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.

PROCEE

RYLAN DAVID PROCEE, of Taber, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the age of 24 years.

He is survived by his loving father, Dave (Loretta Seppola) Procee of Coaldale; his brother, Jerred (Nicole) Procee and their children, Allison, Chloe, Eva and Oliver; his sister, Bryce (Ashton) Wikkerink and their children, Brynnley and Brooklynn, as well as a large family who loved him deeply.

He was predeceased by his mother, Audrey Procee, in 2015.

Rylan found joy in being with those he loved. He could frequently be found spending time with his friends and family when he wasn’t working on the feedlot. He loved to make others laugh and was always showing off the funny videos he’d find online. He was a fun-loving and caring brother and son. When he became an uncle, he greeted his new role with tremendous pride and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew.

Duane Wintemute

1968 – 2020

Mr. Duane Wintemute of Lethbridge, loving father to Shae & Blayne Wintemute, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 51 years.

Duane is survived by his mother Marion Harker; sister Tina (Chris) Hernandez; grand-daughter Emryss Lasha; nephew Alex Hernandez; niece Cassi (Dylan) Randall and grand-nephew Oliver Randall.

Duane was pre-deceased by his father Wayne Wintemute.
