DENNIS KENT SCOTT, was born September 16th, 1952 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

He is survived by his wife and very best friend for the last 47 years, – Mary Webster Scott. Survived by his 5 children. D.J. (Maryanne) Scott, Steve (Chelsea) Scott, Ryan (Juyoung) Scott, Vicky (Jace) Forsyth, Deanna Friday. There are also 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who will miss him like crazy. Dennis is also survived by his siblings Ronald (Julie) Scrimshaw, Lois (Bill) Harris, Lesley (Herman) Reigling. And Mary’s siblings. Louise, Susan, Keith, Barry, Marilyn, Larry, Karen. Also many neices and nephews.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Stan and Ethel Scott and Mary’s parents, Grant and Lois Webster. Also one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Dennis was a great athlete. Swimming, baseball, basketball, rugby etc. He coached all of his kids and some grandkids He loved the outdoors and for years you could find him fishing in his boat in the summer and ice fishing as soon as he thought the ice would hold him in the winter. He often told Mary that 2-3 inches would be just fine.

Dennis had an amazing talent for fixing almost anything that used an electric motor/ commercial or home kitchen equipment/ commercial or home laundry equipment. Etc etc. He had journeyman tickets for electrical rewind mechanic/ electrician/appliance serviceman/ water plant operator/ boiler operator/ locksmith. More than one person commented that if Grandpa/Dennis can’t fix it – then it can’t be fixed. Mary is going to miss her built-in repairman.

He worked in Lethbridge for about 12 years rebuilding big irrigation pumps. Then for 25 years he worked for a company called “Glacier Park Inc” He maintained all the commercial equipment in their hotels. From the Prince of Wales in Waterton to Montana at Many Glacier Lodge/ Swift Current/ Rising Sun/ Lake McDonald Lodge/ East Glacier Park Lodge/ St Mary’s Lodge/ Grouse Mountain Lodge. Many, many life-long friends were made during those years.

After his “so-called” retirement he helped maintain stuff and did the snow removal for ours and Steve’s Mountain Haven Cabins. He spent many hours in his shop either fixing or tearing apart his stuff.

Dennis loved his time serving in The Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many callings, but he especially loved teaching in the Primary.
