Sheri Covey
1956 – 2022
Sheri Covey of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with her children by her side holding her hand at the age of 65 years.
Her children, Taya (Travis) and Jeremy (Tanis) were her pride and joy.
Even though Alzheimer’s disease cut short her time to enjoy her grandchildren (Korbin, Mikayla, Aria, Asher, and Isla) her face would light up when she saw them, and we knew she cherished every moment with them. They loved their “Dee Dee”.
Enjoying family time was Sheri’s favourite. Her and Taya loved to go for drives, listening and singing to their favourite music. The louder the better! Sheri and Jeremy loved watching movies together, either at the theater, or at home any chance they could.
Sheri was in her happy place if gatherings included her dad‘s amazing cabbage rolls, and watching a Saskatchewan Roughriders game. She was blessed to be a part of a large family.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers Terry (Marilyn), David (Dianne), Kim (Brenda), Rick (Ellen), sisters Wendy (D’Arcy), Brenda (Gary), and father Ben (Pauline) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mother Frances Lorincz.
Sheri was a great friend to all. She was loving, kind and generous. Always ready and available to help whenever needed. She loved her visits: if you had the coffee on she would bring the sweets!
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Good Samaritan’s West Highlands. You were like family, we could not have asked for a better group to care for Sheri. We would also like to thank Bob Hoffman for your regular visits. You were an amazing friend to Sheri right up to her very last moment.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
A date and time for a Celebration Of Life to be announced.

Donna fought rheumatoid arthritis for a very long time but she never allowed this to keep her down. She could run a forage harvester, combined for long hours and cultivated many a row of sugar beets. Her extensive tailgate lunches fed many men out in the fields on those long days.
Her flower beds were always stunning and many hours were spent on their care. She loved decorating her home for every season and was always writing notes of love and encouragement to everyone around her. Her birthday cards and holiday goodie bags will be missed by all who received them.
Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in leadership positions in all auxiliaries. She was a wonderful teacher and had a deep and abiding testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved the temple and the peace she felt there.
Donna’s legacy will be her endless optimism amid trails and her enduring faith. Her example will be felt for generations to come.
Thank you to all who served and cared for her. She spoke highly of you.

Susan Matilda Klassen was born on December 20, 1933, in Namaka AB to Cornelius and Anna Boschmann. In the early years of her life her family moved to Blue Ridge AB to homestead, living in a log cabin that her father built and later settled on a farm near Tofield AB. After her schooling, she went on to work in the Edmonton Hospital. Susan met the love of her life Dan at a Mennonite Provincial Youth Gathering in Rosemary. Susan also attended Mennonite Bible Institute in Didsbury where their friendship continued and eventually led to their marriage on a beautiful fall day October 23, 1955. Susan and Dan started married life together farming in Coaldale for 2 years, and then moved to Tofield for 2 years to continue farming there but after two successive crop failures due to weather they moved back to the farm in Coaldale where they raised their 3 children and farmed together for nearly 45 years. Susan was involved in the Goodwill Club at the Coaldale Mennonite Church where she was a member. She also volunteered for a number of years at the MCC store in Lethbridge.
Mom and Dad loved the mountains, spending time in Waterton and Montana every year. They even took up skiing and enjoyed doing that with their family. Mom was a very artistic and creative woman. She made doll furniture and sewed doll clothes, did artex, spent many hours sewing clothing for her children, enjoyed puzzles, embroidery, and crocheting many afghans for her children and grandchildren. She loved baking and cooking and made sure we never left her home hungry! She could also play a very competitive game of crokinole and usually won! She enjoyed working on their yard and in her flower beds which always had an abundance of beautiful roses. Mom was a quiet lady, soft spoken with a big heart and much love for her family. She loved her Lord and Savior, her beloved husband Dan, her children, precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great grandchildren always put a smile on her face.
