SMITH

TERESA “TERRI” SMITH, beloved wife of Wayne Smith of Lethbridge, passed away unexpectedly at her home, on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the age of 60 years.

Terri is survived by her son: Ryan (Rio Pisony) Smith of Calgary; sister Gayle (Leo) Durand of Coaldale; brother Rob Arisman (Barb Linsley) of Dawson Creek; nieces Jessica (Ryan) Durand-Kaustinen of Coaldale, Chelsey Durand of Winnipeg, and Alyssa and Ryan Linsley of Dawson Creek; and great-nephews Bransen and Brennan Kaustinen of Coaldale.

Terri was predeceased by her parents Steve and Eira Arisman.

Those who knew Terri know how much she would hate all the fuss being made about her. Likely she would say those exact words, “don’t make a fuss about me.”

Terri’s joy in life was caring for others. She would always put their needs before her own. No matter the situation, she was always there: picking up groceries for others, taking care of her mom and dad, last-minute babysitting—both human and animal variety!

She had an amazing knack for finding unique and meaningful presents for people. Christmas, birthdays, and the random days in-between, Terri would always have that gift that left you asking, “where did you find this?” She would have a huge smile on her face knowing just a small gift gave so much joy.

Like her parents, Terri absolutely loved her yard. Spring and summer were her favourite times of the year as she would spend her afternoons looking after her flower beds. She’s left us quite the task of keeping up her beautiful yard.

While she wouldn’t want us to make a fuss about her, we’re going to make one anyway. Terri will be desperately missed by all those who loved and knew her.

Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

A Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32nd Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, March 19th, 2022, at 4:00 PM, with Patrick Siedlecki officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Service.
