ANDREWS
FRANCES “FRAN” MAXINE ANDREWS, beloved wife of the late Delvin Andrews, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the age of 91 years.
Frances is survived by her daughter Judith (Dennis – deceased) Hooey, their children David (Vivian) Forestell, Suzanne (Javier) Solsona, Jennifer (Greg) Kozak, Tracey (Loewen) Schmidt, and Kent (Kimberly) Hooey and their grandchildren Elizabeth Forestell, Nash and Rio Solsona, Hayley, Cameron, and Ethan Warren, Jared and Lilly Schmidt, and Brodie Hooey; her son Delbert (Lorenda) Andrews, their children Michael Andrews and Steven (Christine) Andrews and their grandchildren Kai, Teyha, and Callie Andrews and Peyton and Brett Smith.
Frances was born in Lethbridge on September 10, 1931, and was the youngest of five children born to Erwin and Elizabeth Frey. She grew up on the family farm south of Readymade where she attended school. She graduated in 1948, and soon after began working at the Bank of Montreal in Coaldale.
Frances was a loving homemaker and enjoyed helping on the farms where Delvin was employed. In 1958, they moved to Lethbridge, and a couple of years later, bought Holberton’s Plumbing. Frances then became the bookkeeper as well.
Frances enjoyed curling and golfing sometimes with Delvin and sometimes with the ladies. She also spent her time crocheting, sewing, quilting, knitting, and other crafts. She was a member of the Laurel Chapter #43 of the Order of Eastern Star, the Henderson Lake Golf Course, and the Lethbridge Curling Club.
Frances will be remembered by family and friends as a thoughtful, caring, generous woman who would lend a helping hand whenever she was asked. She loved to dance and play cards with Delvin and their friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.
A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. with Patrick Siedlecki officiating.

Surrounded by her loving family, Georgia ‘Ruth’ Anderson, beloved wife of the late Gary Anderson, passed away peacefully in Taber, Alberta on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the age of 88 years.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am. “Singing in the Clouds Woman” was born on September 17, 1998, and passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Ry’anne was the loving mother to her precious son, Alex, and the beloved youngest daughter to Michelle P. Big Throat and Byron Bruised Head. She was a best friend and soulmate to Derych McCarty.

1944-2022
FLORENCE MAE LANDY, beloved wife of the late Roy Landy, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Friday, September 30, 2022.
She is survived by her three children – Kim (Mark) McCarthy, Darren (Kimberly) Landy and Shauna (Craig) Kingston as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Florence on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at ONE LIFE CHURCH, 501 – 40 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 4M1, with Pastor Wayne Boersma officiating.

Edna Marie Moffat
Beloved Wife, Lover, and Rock
Edna Moffat of Lethbridge AB, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the age of 83 years. Born in 1938 in Medicine Hat, AB, to parents, Hazel (nee: Steed) and Meyer Carlson. Edna spent her early years of school and life in Brooks, AB. While living there, she worked for Canada Post as a supervisor for many years before moving to Lethbridge, AB in 1972 with her husband, Bruce and working at Varsteel until she retired.
Edna enjoyed their vacation home in Whitefish, MT for many years, and was active in the Lethbridge community, especially at the Chinook Regional Hospital and Lethbridge Humane Society in various capacities. Her legacy will live on through the many charities she supported over the years. Their remaining cat, Kimbeau will be happy to greet you at the doors of the Lethbridge Humane Society for the rest of her days.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Bruce Moffat as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Carlson; and sister, Betty Zibell.
Many thanks to Chinook Regional Hospital and St. Michaels Extended Care for their compassion while Edna was in their care. A special thank you to Jodi, as well as to Darcy, Leanne, Shannon, and Brenda for their extra care with Edna and Bruce.
In keeping with Edna’s wishes, a cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.

“JOHN” JOHANNES VAN EGMOND, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Gerda Van Egmond, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the age of 97 years.
John is lovingly remembered by his daughter Marja Van Rijn, son Hans, and daughter Gardien (Gerben) Terpstra as well as four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides his loving wife Gerda, John was predeceased by his daughter Paula and son-in-law Joe.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the residents and staff at the Pemmican Lodge, who made him feel so at home.
