TRIJNTJE “TINA” BOUWSEMA
1930 – 2022

Our beloved mother, Tina Bouwsema, surrounded by loved ones, passed into the presence of Jesus on October 6, 2022, at the age of 91 years.
She was born in Stitswerd, Holland on December 30, 1930, and lived in Lethbridge, Alberta for most of her adult life.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Tim Bouwsema, in 2019. She was also predeceased by her nine brothers and sisters, many in-laws and some nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her five children, Patricia (Dave) Gregory, Linda (Ed DeYoung) Herbert, Bruce (Rita) Bouwsema, Barry (Darlene) Bouwsema, and Gloria (Harvey Rindfliesch) Kinsella, fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held at 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd W, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd W, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating.

Linda Bruised Head “Naatsi’kai’poi’sti’pii” Two Coming In (Naa’aa), was born on September 28, 1934 in Cardston, Alberta at the Indian Hospital. Naa’aa passed away peacefully, surrounded by all her children and family on October 4, 2022, due to a lengthy illness.

WILLIAM JACK COPPIETERS of Raymond, beloved husband of Eva Kaye (Harker) Coppieters for 56 years, passed away at the Raymond hospital on October 7th 2022, at the age of 77 years.
He was the loving father of six children: Jason (Kelly) – Jeff (Kim) – Jodi (Lance) – Jon (Lodema) – Jordan – and Jana (Nate). A special Grandpa to 14 grandchildren and 4 great grand-daughters. He is also survived by 2 sisters Diane & Jane and 2 brothers Robert & Douglas. He was predeceased by his father Bill Coppieters and mother Norma Coppieters and also brother Jim.
Jack was born in Raymond on February 26th, 1945. He grew up on the Ridge and loved the outdoors, the animals, the fishing and the hunting. After graduating from RHS he went to Sait in Calgary and received his plumbing papers in 1971. He apprenticed under Jimmy Anderson and then worked for Whitticks in Lethbridge before starting his own business JC Plumbing and Gasfitting – serving the area for over 42 years, before he had to retire due to poor health.
He was loved and appreciated by his wife and family and will be deeply missed.
Family and friends may meet with the family at the RAYMOND KNIGHT STREET CHURCH (by the Raymond hospital) on Thursday October 13th from 1:00 to 1:45pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00pm.
Burial will take place prior to the Service at the Magrath Cemetery.

GRACE MATHISON
1929 – 2022

    Mrs. Grace Mathison of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mattie, passed away peacefully at Fairmont Extendicare on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the age of 93 years.
    Grace was born and raised in Calgary and moved to Lethbridge in 1964 with her husband and 2 daughters Jeannie Mathison and Jo Stribbell. She worked her whole life so she could spoil her daughters and their families so they could enjoy some of the things she never could. Her mother taught her to knit at a very young age and she carried this talent late into her life. She could knit ANYTHING. She wanted to make sure that before she got to the point where she couldn’t knit anymore, she made blankets for her great-grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was joining her friends for coffee at Tim Hortons. She was an avid junior hockey fan and enjoyed listening to the games well into her 80’s. Grace loved to shop and passed that down to both her girls and their children. She worked at the northside Safeway for 25 years and retired at 63 years old so she could help out with the grandchildren.
    Grace is survived by her daughters Jeannie Mathison and Jo (Howard) Stribbell; grandchildren Kodee (Mitchel) Hahn, Raymond Kaupp; great-grandchildren Royce Kaupp, Ryan Kaupp.
    Besides her loving husband Mattie, Grace was pre-deceased by her parents and sisters.
    At Grace’s request, no service will be held, but; please think of her when you are enjoying a hot cup of Tim Hortons coffee and if you find a t-shirt you love, buy one in every color.
    Cremation entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.

Mrs. Silvia Lorena Martinez of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Miguel Cruz, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 41 years.
Besides her loving husband Miguel Cruz, Silvia is survived by her daughter Karla Michelle Cruz Martinez; son Cesar Alejandro Cruz Martinez; mother Maria Coronada Lopez; sister Roxana Del Carmen Martinez; and aunt Maria Julia Lopez.
A Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm, on Friday, October 14, 2022 followed by a Prayer service at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.

RYK PRINS
1928 – 2022

Ryk Prins, of Foremost, beloved husband of Sybil Prins and father of John (Jan), Aafke, and Elaine, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022, at the age of 93 years.
Ryk was born on October 23, 1928, in Rinusmageest, Netherlands. He spent his early years helping on the Prins’ family farmstead, a formative time to nurture his passion for the farming industry. To follow said passion, at the young age of 25, Ryk first came to Canada on the Dutch emigrant ship the Groote Beer, docking in Halifax, before proceeding to Saskatoon for a farming apprenticeship. Several years later, he returned to the Netherlands and met his soon-to-be wife, Sybil. It was love at first sight, and as a result, a short courtship. After a just two-week holiday with Sybil, Ryk was provided the blessing from her father to marry his daughter. Sybil followed Ryk to Canada, and they were married on Victoria Island, BC, in 1961, eventually settling in Foremost, Alberta, and buying their first farm in 1965. During his time in Foremost, Ryk was actively involved in the community and Burdett Christian Reformed Church. The Prins family moved to Lethbridge in 1996, where Ryk continued to volunteer his time and energy with the Marantha Christian Reformed Church, as well as local food banks, helping fundraise for Bibles for Missions, and being a participating member of the Lethbridge Christian Men’s Choir. A pillar of strength for his family, and a shining beacon of faith in the Lord, we will always carry his memory in our hearts. 
Ryk is survived by Sybil, his wife of 61 years; children Jan Prins (Jana), Aafke (Troy) Loney, and Elaine (Bruce) Wind; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters. 
A Viewing will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, October 14, 2022 at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd W, Lethbridge, Alberta with Pastor Jim Zondervan, officiating.
A private family Interment will be held prior in the Foremost Cemetery.
