HEAVY RUNNER, Lenora HEAVY RUNNER Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen. May almighty God bless us with his peace and strength, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
With great heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister, cousin, mother, mother-in-law and friend, Lenora Jolaine Heavy Runner, on December 31, 2022 at the age of 65 years. Lenora was born March 1, 1957 to her parents Chester Heavy Runner and Mary Prairie Chicken.
She is survived by her life long friend and ex-companion Dennis Iron Shirt; children Jennifer (Phillip) Hairy Bull, Lerae (Curtis) Wolf Child, Robert Heavy Runner, Bucky, Heather (Basil) Devine; grandchildren Lance, Billy, Ceejaye, Kelly Blue, Carlos, Mackenzie, Brady, Janae and Oakley; great grandchildren Taylor, Alexander and Connor; sisters Gwen (Spikey) Shouting, Colleen (Barry) Beebe, Tootsie and one brother Rolland Iron Shirt; aunties Clara Russell, Christine Shade and Mary Singer.
Lenora had a place in so many people’s hearts. She was always so nice and willing to help whether it be her family, friends or a stranger. She was a mother to all. Her true beauty was reflected in her soul.
Lenora is predeceased by her father and mother Chester Heavy Runner and Mary Prairie Chicken; grandparents Tom Prairie Chicken, Mini Mountain Horse, William and Mary Heavy Runner; brothers Punch, Golly and Thomas Heavy Runner; sisters Bellina, Veronica and Beverly Heavy Runner; uncles Franky Turning Robe, Lester Heavy Runner, Bill Heavy Runner, Andy Heavy Runner and Frank Heavy Runner; aunties Lucy Day Chief, Aileen Mountain Horse, Pearl Heavy Runner, Cecille Spear Chief, Lucy Prairie Chicken, Stella Crazy Bull and Irene Bull Shields; grandchild Harley Bad Man; great grandchild Yuri Fox.
A Wake Service will be held at Moses Lake Gym, Blood Reserve on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:00 – 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Blood Band Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.

DICK, Leona DICK The family of LEONA DICK (nee Klassen), wife of the late Henry John Dick, are saddened to announce their beloved mother’s peaceful passing at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
The final celebration of our precious Leona’s life has been arranged, with a Viewing at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32nd Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, January 13th, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the LETHBRIDGE MENNONITE CHURCH, 4303-3rd Ave. South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Ryan Dueck officiating. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Leona’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.

MARTIN, Lorraine LORRAINE MARTIN 1949 – 2023 Lorraine Martin of Lethbridge passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6th, 2023, at home at the age of 73 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at CHRIST TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 416- 12 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Reverend Olivier Ravelojaona officiating.

PALMER, Erin ERIN LEE PALMER 1970 – 2023 Erin Lee Palmer, of Lethbridge, beloved daughter of Donna Palmer and the late Peter Palmer, passed away at South Health Campus in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the age of 52 years.
Erin was born in Lethbridge, AB, on December 3, 1970. She attended school in Lethbridge until graduating from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute (LCI) in 1988. Erin went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Lethbridge in 1993. As she clarified her career goals, she pursued and completed a Master of Library and Information Science at the University of Western Ontario in 1996. While in graduate school, Erin gained experience working at the National Library of Canada in Ottawa.
After graduation, Erin secured a challenging position working as the Librarian in the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in Ottawa. She enjoyed the opportunity to see the inner workings of parliament, and was tasked with, among other things, researching questions for Question Period.
Later she worked for the Northwest Territories Geological Survey in Yellowknife, NT. This position gave her the opportunity to become connected with many close friends in Yellowknife as she deeply loved the community environment there.
She was a board member of the Association of Earth Science Editors.
Some of Erin’s favourite activities included golfing, Opimian Wine Club events, gardening, crafting with friends, the game of Scrabble, shopping, theatrical productions, Zumba workouts, aquafit classes and collecting souvenirs from her travels. Erin loved jazz and symphony music.
Erin had a love for travel and enjoyed many memorable vacations while experiencing new places. She traveled with her friends to New York City, Chicago, Napa Valley of California, Disneyland and Disney World. With her parents, Erin enjoyed trips to Hawaii several times over Christmas break.
Erin will be most remembered for her quick sense of humor, and kind, gentle spirit. She was a diligent, conscientious worker in her professional career. As shared by her friends, she was sweet and fun loving and witty, had a bright smile, was always up for new adventures, generous and kind in nature, had a huge thoughtful heart, and was a creative beautiful woman.
Erin is survived by her mother Donna, her uncle Ken Roxburgh (Louella) as well as many cousins and friends.
Erin was predeceased by her father Peter, her brother Cory and her grandmothers, Hettie Blades and Ruby Palmer, cousin David Mitenko and Uncle Nat and Aunt Mary Mitenko.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile Canada at operationsmile.ca, or any charity in support of women or a charity of one’s choice.
A Celebration of Erin’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating.

KLUCZNY, Pat KLUCZNY PAT KLUCZNY, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Bob Kluczny, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the age of 83 years.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
A private Family Interment will be held, where Pat will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Bob.
