Alden Fletcher, beloved husband of Millie Fletcher, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the age of 82 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, March 3, 2023 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 – 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at

Alden is survived by his wife Millie Fletcher; daughters Lynn (Terry) Marcellus of Fort Assiniboine and family, Rhonda Fletcher of Lethbridge and family as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Christopher Fletcher; parents Frank and Louise Fletcher; brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Marence Fletcher.
Alden was born in Lethbridge on April 22, 1940 and raised in Purple Springs on the family farm. This is where Alden and Millie raised their children and farmed until they retired to Lethbridge.
Alden was active in his community. He was involved with the Knox United Church, served as Reeve for the MD of Taber and on the Taber Hospital Board. His one goal was to stay on the hospital board until Taber had it’s new hospital in 1985.
Alden had many hobbies including golfing, curling, fishing and playing cards with friends and family. He loved a cold beer, good conversation and friendship that accompanied these activities. Keeping in touch with family and friends was most important to him. Alden was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

SKRETTING, Gerald SKRETTING 1957 – 2023 GERALD SAMUEL SKRETTING, of Enchant, passed away peacefully in Calgary, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 65 years.
Gerald is survived by his mother Ionne, brother Allan (Ruth), sister Muriel (Brent), brother Lesley, brother Darwin (Sherri) and sister Marilyn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Gudmund and sister-in-law Cindy (Lesley).
Gerald was born on April 21, 1957. He was the second son of Gudmund and Ionne Skretting. He was raised on the family farm and attended the Enchant, and then Vauxhall schools. Gerald helped out on the farm before moving to Lethbridge, where he was employed by the Alberta Wheat Pool. In 1996, Gerald returned to the Enchant area and remained in the area until his passing.
Gerald enjoyed hunting and horseback riding. One of the highlights in his life was participating in the Centennial Cattle Drive, from Buffalo Alberta (a ghost town that is located just south of Red Deer River, near Jenner) to Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Gerald was a kind person, and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Friends are invited to gather with the family for a time of remembrance at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, March 3, 2023 between 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Gerald will be laid to rest privately in a Family Graveside Service in Enchant.

FABBRI, Grace Emma FABBRI GRACE EMMA FABBRI (née Sebok), beloved wife of the late Joseph “Joe” Fabbri, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away peacefully at Legacy Lodge on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 89 years.

LOOSE, Cheryl LOOSE We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2023 our sweet mom Cheryl Annette (MacKenzie) Loose peacefully passed away.
She is survived by: her four children, daughter Heather Loose and grandson Levi Loose, daughter Gail (Loose) McCready (Mike) and granddaughters Mikaela, Gabrielle, Marissa, Gracie, Meghan, daughter Amanda Loose, son Richard Loose and granddaughter Shaye and grandsons Gavin and Connor. Sister Joyce (MacKenzie) Oler (Duane).
She is predeceased by: her parents, Ralph MacKenzie and Thelma (Bruce) MacKenize, brothers Bert MacKenzie (Catherine) and Lloyd MacKenzie (Patricia).
Over the past few weeks, us children, realized how much our mom was loved and cared for. She was a positive spirit who loved music, had a wonderful sense of humour, a big smile and was a very devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be missed greatly by all those who love her in this life. If you would like to make a donation, please do so to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
