SINCLAIR, Shane SINCLAIR In loving memory of Shane William Sinclair, aged 49, who passed away February 10, 2023 in Vancouver, BC.
Shane was born February 13, 1973 in Taber, AB. He lived a major part of life his life in Calgary, moving to Vancouver 6 years ago. He enjoyed visual arts, music, and hockey.
He is survived by his mom, Cheryl McGarva (Randy); brother, Jay (Mary) and their child, Rory; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend, Nicolas.
Shane is predeceased by Grandpa George and Grandma Carol Nessman, Uncle Denny Nessman, Uncle Malcolm MacAulay, and Grandma Lila Pemberton.
Shane will live on in our hearts; somewhere over the rainbow is a better life.

ANDERSON, Plenny ANDERSON Plenny Harold Anderson, formerly of Champion, beloved husband of Betty, passed away at the Calgary South Campus on March 9, 2023 at the age of 87 years.
Plenny, the 4th child of Clarence and Lydia Anderson of Carmangay, was born March 11, 1935. He, along with his 7 siblings, attended elementary school in Barhill and graduated from Carmangay School. After graduation, Plenny attended Olds Ag College in 1954.
Plenny married Betty Anderson of Champion, in July of 1957. They lived in Lethbridge, then moved to Carmangay then Champion. Plenny started his farming career in 1956. They moved to the home place in 1974. Together they raised their family of one son and two daughters and kept busy supporting their activities in the community with the Champion Curling Club, the United Church and Champion Congregational Church. Plenny was also a member of the Champion Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and sat on the board of the Headwaters Health Authority.
Plenny and Betty retired from farming and moved to Vulcan and he continued going to Champion to play pool and crib after the move. Besides his loving wife Betty, Plenny is survived by his son Greg, daughters Lindsay (John) and Anita (Wayne); grandchildren: Logan (Michelle), Kelsey (Dustin), Kirsten, Garrett, Dereka, Kendra, Stacey and Kaitlyn; great grandchildren, Harper and Gunnar; sisters Doreen Trapp, Gladys Christensen and Janette (Perry) Porter, sisters- in-law Barbara Anderson, Pat Anderson, brother-in-law Doug Lyons, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Lydia Anderson, brothers Kenneth, Glen, Lloyd (Gill) and sister Jolayne, brothers- in-law Skeez Christensen and Lloyd Trapp.
Family Interment will be held at Bowville Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life reception at the Champion Community Hall on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 1 pm. Tributes in Plenny’s memory can be made to the Champion Lions Club, Box 179, Champion, AB, T0L 0R0.

COUGHLAN, Elizabeth COGHLAN, Elizabeth 1946 – 2023 Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Anne Coghlan of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 76 years. She had been battling pneumonia, and lung difficulties, on top of a diagnosis of chronic regional pain syndrome for over fifteen years. Betty was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 21, 1946 to Rosaline and William Coghlan. She enjoyed softball, camping, fishing, animals, cards, reading, cooking (Cactus Pizza), building and restoring, and the arts. She worked at many different places like Woolco, Abbey’s Arts and Crafts with her brother, Bob, Realtor, and she was a manager of details and finishing at Triple M Homes. Betty was a very strong and independent woman who always met life on her own terms. As a mother and grandmother, all she ever cared about was our happiness. There was nothing she loved more than being around family and friends. Betty will be deeply missed by her children, Jenny and Kevin and her grandchildren, Travis, Jared, Devon, Nicholas and Michael. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Audrey, Susan and Karen and all of her cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Betty was predeceased by her son, Greg; her brothers, William ‘Bill’ and Robert ‘Bob’; her brother in-law, Alex and her parents, Rosaline and William. We give our heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of the ICU Department for taking such wonderful care of our mom and would also like to thank Parkland Funeral Home for all their services. Our hearts ache without her but she is bound for another journey and is surely smiling down on us all. CLAMPITT, Beth BETH CLAMPITT 1930 – 2023 It is with very sad hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Clampitt on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 92 years.
Beth was born June 18, 1930, in Buchanan, Saskatchewan to Mary and Frank Slogotski. She attended Monastyr school and nursing school, then nursed in Kincaid Hospital until she met Lynn Clampitt. They married on October 14, 1952, moved to Lethbridge, and were blessed with 4 children. She worked at St. Michael’s Hospital on the maternity ward, did private nursing, and then worked 35 years with Devon/Parkland/ Extendicare Nursing Home.
Beth devoted her life lovingly and with so much fun and laughter to her husband, children, Alan Hagen, grandchildren, Del and great grandchildren; She loved to play cards, dance, garden, visit family, bowl, camp and travel. She visited Mexico often, Singapore, Dominican Republic, Florida, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Hawaii, Alaska by cruising, and drove all through the Western states. Beth weas a great cook and baker (which we all appreciated often).
She was able to stay in her own home until June of 2021, when she moved into St. Therese Villa. She loved living there saying it was like a holiday on a cruise ship. The staff was wonderful to her, and she loved them, her friends, and all of the recreation. A special thank you to the staff of St. Therese for their loving care as she lived with dementia). Beth passed peacefully with her family by her side.
Beth is survived by her companion and dear friend Del Lowenburg; children Brian Clampitt, Betty (Dale) Lumley, and Allen (Fahle) Clampitt; grandchildren Randi Knight, Lyle (Ashley) Knight/Clampitt; Tammy (Brent) Nunweiler, Trevor (Megan) Brown; Chanelle (Aaron) Bauer, and Adam (Katie) Clampitt; great grandson Tyson Knight; great granddaughters Mia Knight/Clampitt, Luca, Calla, and Asha Nunweiler, Helena Brown; and Avarie and Monroe Bauer.
Beth was predeceased by her son Lyle; her husband Lynn; 8 brothers Julius, Joe, Ben, Albert, Walter, Edwin, Bernard and Ben; and 3 sisters Rozalia, Sister Jerome (Helen), and Jean.
Mom will be so very missed, but her memories cherished forever.
Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel.

ENGSTROM, Ruth RUTH ENGSTROM 1939 – 2023 Mrs. Ruth Engstrom of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Carl Engstrom, passed away peacefully at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 83 years.
Ruth was born in Saskatoon at St. Paul’s Hospital to parents Jacob Dickman and Helen Janzen at 11am on July 14, 1939. After attending Saskatoon business college, Ruth worked as a secretary at city hall in Saskatoon, and later in Wetaskiwin. She married Carl July 15, 1967, and had 2 children: Darren and Warren. She enjoyed reading, studying the Word, watching hockey and golf and writing letters. A major accomplishment was leading a ladies Bible study for a number of years.
Ruth is survived by her son Warren; sister Gladys Procyshen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides her loving husband Carl, Ruth was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Helen Dickman; son Darren; and first husband Arnold Krahn.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 21. 2023 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.

HELWIG, Douglas HELWIG It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of DOUGLAS JAMES HELWIG, of Milk River, AB. Doug was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully at the Intercare Chinook Hospice in Calgary on Friday, March 10th, 2023, after a battle with cancer.
Doug was 86 years old and led a long and fulfilling life doing the things he loved to do – farming, ranching, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Doug was born in Calgary but spent most of his life in Milk River developing strong ties to the community he loved. He had a quick smile for everyone he met and one of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren teaching them to play his favorite card game – Cribbage.
He is survived by his wife Rosy and four daughters: Florry (Brian), Gail, Michele (Mel) and Tammy (Cameron). He was blessed with seven grandchildren – Krysten (Trent), Marissa (Dion), Isabella, Matthew, Jack, Tate, and Siena. He also had three wonderful great-grandchildren: Blake, Logan and Corbyn.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 321 Main Street NW, Milk River, AB, on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Salvador Ahumada officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 10:10 A.M. with Father Salvador Ahumada celebrating. A Eulogy will be presented at 10:00 A.M. The Eulogy and Funeral Mass will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Doug’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
Following the Funeral Mass, a Lunch Reception will be held at the Milk River Civic Centre.
Doug will be laid to rest in a private Family Interment in St. Isadore’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Allerston, AB.

KRAMER, Henry KRAMER, Henry Timothy Henry Timothy Kramer passed away at home on March 12, 2023, at the age of 58 years.
He is survived by his siblings, Daniel Kramer, Tony Kramer, Carolyn Kramer, Simon Kramer, Nancy (Peter) Pohn, and Joanne (Brian) Eves. Henry is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Brendan Kramer, Geoffery Kramer, Tianna (Shane) Kelly, Kristy (Erich) Fitzsimmons, Taryn (Trey) Christensen, Cameron Kramer, and great nephews, Roanne Kelly and Emmett Fitzsimmons.
He was predeceased by his parents, Hank and Henny Kramer.
Henry loved camping, swimming, and quadding. He especially loved exploring new places.
Cremation has been entrusted to Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home. As per his wishes, there will be no formal service held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
