BLENNER-HASSETT, Eileen BLENNER-HASSETT We are sad to announce the passing of EILEEN BLENNER-HASSETT, beloved wife of the late Bob Blenner-Hassett (2002), on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the age of 92 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: son, Bill (Karen) Blenner-Hassett of Lethbridge, and three daughters, Robbie Innes of Lethbridge, Deb (Jerry) Shimek of Okotoks, and Betty (Ed) Montsko of Ottawa.
She was affectionately known as “Grandie” or “Grandie Bear” to her 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Mom was born on June 24, 1930 to Joseph and Gertrude Girodat on the family homestead near Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the farm with three sisters and two brothers, and they remained very close throughout their lives. In her late teens she moved to Alberta. While working in Waterton for the summer she met our dad. They were soon married and spent the next 50+ years together.
Mom worked for Horne and Pitfield Foods for many years. Upon her retirement she took up golf. She loved the sport and spent many happy days at the Raymond Golf Course. She also enjoyed camping, travelling, bingo, and playing cards. She often played crib with the family, and while we won’t say she was a card shark … she was very lucky!
Mom spent the last year at Piyami Lodge/Place in Picture Butte. Our family would like to thank all of the staff at Piyami for their excellent care and kindness to our mom. We are forever grateful to you!
A Private Family Gathering will be held later this summer to remember and celebrate Eileen’s life.

He attended school at Nicholas Sheran Elementary, Father Leonard Van Tighen and Catholic Central High School. He also attended various programs at the Ability Resource Centre, Peaks, and Quest.
Dylan was a very special soul, born with challenging needs, he brightened all those who knew him well. Dylan loved being mischievous, always taking things and putting them in different places. He also would find it funny to take his grandmother’s purse and walk around with it. Dylan loved drinking pop and would take opportunities to steal pop from his brother and aunt when they were not paying attention. He loved watching movies and eating popcorn, he also loved going to visit his grandparents where he would help with the animals, and loved going for drives to Waterton, Pincher Creek, and Fort Macleod to get hamburgers.
The family would like to send very special thank you to all those who provided him with loving care throughout his life, Coleman Twigg, Sadie Many Fingers, Sally and Sandy Big Throat, Naomi Shade, Keelie Scout, Desirae Auger, the late Josh Twigg and Yolanda Alexander. We cannot tell you how much your kindness and care for Dylan has meant.
Dylan lived a quiet life filled with love from his family. He had a very silly nature which kept those around him smiling and laughing, he especially loved showing off his new haircuts and being called handsome. Those who knew him will always remember his kind, beautiful smile, and bright eyes that would light up the darkest room. Our angel on earth, now lovingly in the arms of his parents.

LADEROUTE (Collin), Keith James LADEROUTE KEITH JAMES (COLLIN) LADEROUTE, born on October 15, 1978, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the age of 44 years.
You are who you are for a reason. You’re part of an intricate plan. You’re precious and perfect unique design, Called God’s special man. You look like you look for a reason. Our God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, You’re just what he wanted to make. The parents you had were the ones he chose, And no matter how you may feel, They were custom designed with God’s plan in mind, And they bear the Master’s seal. No, that trauma you faced was not easy. And God wept that it hurt you so; But it was allowed to shape your heart So that into his likeness you’d grow. You are who you are for a reason, You’ve been formed by the Master’s rod. You are who you are, beloved, Because there is a God!
Keith, a special boy loaned to me by God at the age of 8, and now returned home. Love always, Mom Karen Collin.
