HUBBARD, Christina
CHRISTINA SHARON HUBBARD 1986 – 2023 It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Sharon Hubbard, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and dear friend.
Christina was born on November 16, 1986, to Sharon Dersch and Doug Huff. She began swimming, skiing, hiking, golf and piano lessons early in her life. She became a beautiful pianist, earned her lifeguard certification at 15 and was a member of the Lethbridge Diving Club. She spent innumerable hours in the mountains skiing and hiking and loved all things outdoors.
Christina was a kind and compassionate soul who always sought to help others. After earning her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Lethbridge in 2009, Christina worked as an RN at Chinook Regional Hospital providing care, comfort and support. She was passionate about nursing, loved and respected by her colleagues and a favorite among nursing instructors and students for her exceptional mentoring. She strove for excellence in all things she did, always going the extra mile and giving more of herself than she ever asked.
Christina had a brilliant smile that could brighten the gloomiest day and she seldom left home without it. Looking through her pictures it was rare to find any without a beaming expression of her Joie de vivre. She brought immeasurable joy and happiness into the lives of so many, none more so than her family.
Christina will forever be loved and remembered by her parents Doug Huff and Sharon Dersch; her siblings Donovan (Emma) Huff, Michelle (Dave) Kortt, Emily Parsons and Cara Parsons.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Colette Dersch, Walter Huff, and Anne Huff; stepmother Deb Moriyama; stepfather Tim Parsons; and cousins Kelli-Lynn Robertson and Megan MacDonald.
It is impossible to express in words how much Christina will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday May 25, 2023, at the Italian Canadian Club, 1511 St Edward Blvd N, Lethbridge.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
