CAMP, Hank CAMP It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hank Camp.
Hank passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Camp and his children:
Daughter Terry (Don) Noss & their children Brianne & Bradley
Daughter: Deb (Doug) Kitaguchi and their children – Courtney (Riely) Blinco and Chelsey (Evan) Deitz and his great grandchildren Kennedy Blinco, Weston Blinco, Isabelle Deitz & Oliver Deitz
Daughter: Natalie Stevenson and her children Scott Stevenson (Hailee Denief) and Nicole (Matt) Koenig
Hank was born and raised in Maastricht, Limberg in the Netherlands on January 8, 1931. He was the youngest of 8 children.
He served in the Dutch Royal Air Force KLM. When he was 20 years old, he decided to immigrate to Canada by himself where his fiancé Mia waited for him.
Hank found several jobs and finally found his way where he fit in.
It was around 1970 that he started work with Todd Haibeck and became quite active in all there was going on. Hank sold the Haico business and moved to Oakville, Ontario where he ran a steel business. With that the Wickes bought out the business and Hank continued to work for the Wickes Corporation and was director of Wickes Canada. From there he was sent to New York and ran the lumber business for the company. He was transferred many more times and lived in Philadelphia, South Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and California.
When he returned to Canada, he worked for the Better Business Bureau and was promoted by Wickes as vice-president of the corporation.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Therese Villa for their wonderful care and compassion.

BYRD, Peter BYRD Peter David Byrd, passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the age of 60 years.
Peter is survived by his brother Ian (Val) Byrd, his nephews and their families, Addison Byrd (Jacqueline Eaton); Russell (Paola) Byrd – Titus, Ephraim, Keziah, Uriah; Cacey (Lauren) Byrd – Judah, Asher; and Lyndon (Gabrielle) Byrd – Margo.
Peter was predeceased by his parents David and Jean Byrd.
At Peter’s request, cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life at a later date.

SMITH, Alex SMITH It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Alex (Nathan) Smith
On June 12, 2023, Alex lost his battle with mental health.
Alex is survived by his beloved wife Samantha, his children Kalysta, Amelia, Rowan, and Gideon.
He is also survived by his loving parents Lynn and Roy Smith.
Alex had a passion for mechanics and woodworking, He was a kind creative soul who never hesitated to make his loved ones laugh or help those in need, he was a loving father and husband and greatly enjoyed sharing his passions with them.
Alex volunteered with his family, and wanted to make a difference in his world. He was so very deeply loved.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

1936 – 2023
Ruby Joan Cleroux, beloved wife of the late Allan Cleroux, passed away at her home in Diamond House in Warman, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the church prior to the funeral service on Thursday, June 22, 2023 between 1:00 P.M. and 1:45 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 – 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery. Ruby is survived by children Donna (Marcel) Chaloux of Muskoka, Ontario and their children Amanda (Chad) Greavette, Genieve (Jarod) Chaloux-Hage, Matthew (Sarah) Chaloux and Kaitlyn (Eric) Gibbesch; Greg Cleroux of Toronto, Ontario; Paula (Richard) Epp of Olser, Saskatchewan and their children Tyson (Jarret) Epp, Taylor (Danae) Epp and Meredith (Michael) Hildebrand; Sarah (Rob) Dufton of Cambridge, Ontario and their children Megan Dufton and Rachel Dufton. She is survived by twenty one great grandchildren ranging in age from five months to eighteen years. Ruby is also survived by her sister-in-law Sadie Runtz of Ottawa, Ontario and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Allan Cleroux and by her siblings Victor (Lee) Runtz, Weldon (June) Runtz, Percy Runtz and Gloria (Swin) Sidney. Ruby, a daughter of Alexander and Rose (née Walters) Runtz, was born on September 25, 1936 in Arnprior, Ontario. She married Allan Cleroux on October 1, 1955 in Arnprior, Ontario. Four children were born to them in various locations in Ontario, before they headed west to Vauxhall in 1977. Ruby was active in the Mennonite Brethren church, the Vauxhall community and focused on her writing interests. She and Allan built their dream home on the acreage north of Vauxhall and retired there. They had made Alberta their home, enjoying all the big open skyscapes, especially sunsets. Ruby moved to Lethbridge after the love of her life passed away unexpectedly in January 2000. Her main focus was the writing of her historical novel. She also was involved with the Evangelical Free Church, beloved prayer group, and with her close friends. Shortly after her seventy ninth birthday, Ruby was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and underwent several cancer treatments. She remained in her condo in Lethbridge until November 2018, when she moved to Saskatchewan, living first in Saskatoon for a year and a half, and then moving to Diamond House in Warman. ANDERSEN, Nora NORA ANDERSEN 1922 – 2023 Mrs. Nora Andersen of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Andersen, passed away peacefully at Adaptacare in Lethbridge on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 100 years. She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Jean Andersen. Nora will be dearly missed by her daughter, Phyllis Hutchinson (Lynden); son, Raymond Andersen (Lynn); as well as her grandchildren, Karen Gilchrist (Keith); Geoffrey Hutchinson (Sarah); Sarah Andersen (Jason); and her great-grandchildren.

JOHNSON, Laura LAURA JOHNSON 1933 – 2023 On Friday, June 16, 2023, our mom, Laura Caroline (Potvin) Johnson passed away at Edith Cavell Care Centre at the age of 90 years. She left to be with her long time love, husband Frank Johnson.
Mom had a kind and loving heart. She loved sewing and made many aprons and doll clothes.
Laura is survived by her daughter Lori (Mike) Yeomans and son Tim (Kimberly); grandchildren and great grandchildren Kayla Yeomans, Everett (Brittani, Trixie and Anthony), Riley (Zaryn, Navy), Noelle (Scott); and step granddaughter Krystal (Liam and Brycen).
She was predeceased by her parents Romeo and Millie Potvin, sister Eva Wilson; brothers Robert and Arthur Potvin.

HANIUK, Einard HANIUK June 5, 1930 – June 15, 2023 EINARD STEPHEN HANIUK passed away at St. Therese Villa in Lethbridge, Alberta on Thursday June 15th at the age of 93.
Einard was born and grew up in Lethbridge where he met and married his wife, Kay, in 1952. They spent many years living in the United States where he worked in research settings. When they returned to Lethbridge Einard became director of the University of Lethbridge Research Services. They had an active social life and made many friends during their lifetime.
Einard was a very kind and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
He leaves to mourn five nieces and nephews and their families.
Einard was predeceased by his wife Kay in 2021.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Therese Villa for taking such good care of our aunt and uncle. A very special thank you to their long time friend, Nellie Joa who went above and beyond to help Einard and Kay with whatever they needed, and brightening their lives on a daily basis.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32nd Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 12:30 P.M. with Pat Siedlecki officiating. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed and available for viewing on Einard’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
An Interment will follow at Royal View Cemetery, Lethbridge, AB.
