ELIZABETH SERA
1926 – 2024
Mrs. Elizabeth Sera of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Alex Sera passed away at Legacy Lodge on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 97 years.

PITCHER
Melvin Jay Pitcher, beloved husband of Elva Fullmer Pitcher passed away in Cardston, Alberta on January 6, 2024 at the age of 96. Melvin was born on September 26, 1927. He was the fourth child of Arthur Leroy and Adolene Pitcher. He is predeceased by twin daughters Deborah and Diane Pitcher, sisters, Alice Gibb ,Thelma Stevens, and brothers, Lorin and Ted Pitcher. He leaves to mourn his wife Elva of 73 years and three children, Arnold (Lynda Pitcher) Teresa (Drew Allred) Stacy (Eric Wilde). He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren with more to come. Melvin lived on a farm in Woolford until graduating from Cardston High School in 1947. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for two years. He then married his sweetheart Elva Fullmer in the Cardston Alberta Temple on November 8, 1950. Melvin was a hard worker doing various jobs. He purchased the Esso oil agency working there until retirement. Melvin was an avid sportsman. He helped organize Cardston Little League baseball and coached the Temple City Giants. He excelled in racquet sports and started the Cardston Pickleball Club playing until age 92, Melvin enjoyed a lifetime of music. He sang with siblings, quartets, various choirs and participated in community theater. He played piano, banjo, and the harmonica. As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various callings including Temple Service with his sweetheart Elva in Cardston for 30 years. They headed up the Temple Open House Concert Series for its Rededication in 1991 showcasing artists who were members of the church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather loved and adored by all.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alberta Temple Street Chapel (355 3 St W, Cardston) Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow at Cardston Cemetery.

Ms. Kaylee Tollestrup of Raymond, loving daughter of Doug and Val Tollestrup and beloved mother of Tyrell Still, Wyatt Still and Jaxon Pool, passed away in Raymond on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the age of 35 years.

SALMON MARILYN JOAN SALMON, nee Sandusky, beloved wife of Cal Salmon, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Cardston, AB, at the age of 84 years. Marilyn is survived by her children Mark (Jannette), Karen (Wade), Cheryl (Pete), Colleen (Rod), Laura (Blake); 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; her two siblings Eldon (Pat) Sandusky and Carol (Gordon) Rice. Friends may meet the Family at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, January 12 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. A Private Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in the Cardston Cemetery.

GISELE ANNE BEAULIEU, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 92 years.
