WINTERS, Lydia WINTERS LYDIA WINTERS (née Krueger), of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Roger Winters, passed away peacefully at Buffalo Grace Manor, surrounded by family, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the age of 84 years.
Lydia is survived by her loving family: Terry (Susan), Brian (Leslie), Allan (Melanie) and Kevin (Melanie); sister, Helene Cutler and brother, Robert Krueger (Ruby). Grandma Lydia will be greatly missed by Alex, Blair, Tracy, Ashlynn, Mason, Jada and Ashton Winters.
Besides her loving husband Roger Winters (2019), Lydia was predeceased by her brothers Friedrich and Heinrich Krueger, and mother and father, Sinaida and Viktor Krueger.
Lydia’s passions were taking care of her four boys, her grandkids and loving her family’s dogs. Her love of cooking and baking was how she cared for those she loved. She spent many days and nights knitting dishcloths, hand towels and crocheting just about anything. In her later years, she loved diamond art as a craft to keep her busy.
Her flower gardens and attention to detail in gardening, showed her love of God’s creation. Daffodils were her favorite as the first sign of spring. She enjoyed the potlucks with the ladies in Coaldale at the Manor and always told us she was well taken care of at Buffalo Grace Manor.
We’d like to thank the staff there for their understanding, patience and care in her final days on this earth. May she rest in peace in heaven in a field of daffodils and sunshine.
