By Lethbridge Herald Obituaries on June 7, 2024.
ANDERSON, Elaine ELAINE ANDERSON It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Anderson, our cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie and friend.
Mom loved life and always had a smile on her face (sometimes in the form of an impish grin). She treasured her family and friends and easily made new friends wherever she and dad lived. She was instrumental in initiating neighborhood parades, penny carnivals, encouraged exploring nature (and was most fond of Waterton). She encouraged new ideas; creativity and appreciated everyone’s unique individuality. She found her true love when she met and married dad and through their love gave of it freely.
Mom is survived by her children and their spouses: Diane and Rob; Bruce and Inga; Carol and Ken; grandchildren: Colin, Jasen (Catherine); Rory, Maxton; Katelyn (Keith), Kelly (Ashton); great grandchildren: Myles and Brooks; and Kitana; sisters Evelyn (Curt); Barbara (Yukio); sister-in-law Berta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by dad (Ken), sisters Norma and Marlene, and brothers Fred, John and Gord.
We find ourselves so fortunate that she was “ours”! She will be forever treasured and dearly missed. At mom’s request the family will celebrate her life privately.

COUTTS, Georgina GEORGINA COUTTS 1932 – 2024 It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and friend, Georgie Coutts. She passed away peacefully June 4, 2024, at Good Samaritans with Lisa at her side.
Georgie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on March 29, 1932. She married the love of her life, Don Coutts, in June 1959. Don passed in 2002. Georgie is survived by her two children, Don Jr. (Jackie) and Lisa (Darryl) Medoruma, and her grandson, Justin.
As the oldest of four daughters, Georgie cherished her family. She is survived by her sisters, Francis and Marie, and was predeceased by her youngest sister, Margaret.
Georgie dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom, supporting her children in every endeavor. She was known as a fabulous cook and seamstress. She was a consummate cat lover and dedicated volunteer, spending over 20 years with the Humane Society. Her grandson often joined her at BBQs and book sales, sharing her passion for helping animals.
Her commitment to community extended to the Norbridge Seniors Centre, where she volunteered for eight years and was honored with a Life Membership. Georgie spent six years at The Gardens at West Highlands, where she formed many new friendships. Georgie’s final years were spent at Good Samaritans, Park Meadows Village where she received exceptional care.
In accordance with Georgie’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A private family memorial will take place to celebrate her life.
