KISH, Peter KISH PETER STEPHEN KISH, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Linda Kish, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital with family at his side on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the age of 82 years.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife Linda. His sons: Trevor (Anne), Cary and Anthony (Nikki). Grandchildren: Jelena, Roman, Karver, Mckinna, Kamryn, Charlee, Jordynn and Steven.
Peter was predeceased by his infant son Steven, Sister Maryanne, Mother Margaret and Father Peter.
Peter was a kind soul with a deep faith. He had a positive impact on his community, family and everyone he met.
He was a son, brother, uncle, father, coach, Boy Scout leader, friend and a man of faith. To be a friend of Peter, meant he considered you family – and family meant everything to him.
For almost 40 years, Peter coached fastpitch softball and hockey. He had great respect and understanding for all the youth he coached. Everyone had equal playing time. He was so proud to coach his sons and eventually coach his grandsons alongside his sons.
Together with Linda, they formed a new scouting group to show Christian values and encourage the best out of the Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts under their leadership.
Peter and Linda also worked as a team with Retrovaille of Montana for many years helping to heal troubled marriages. They traveled throughout Canada and the USA sharing their own love story.
Pete shared his gift and talents of music with several Parishes for over 45 years. He taught himself how to play guitar and joined the St. Pat’s Church Folk group, singing and playing guitar.
He did, however, have a great aversion to microphones!
Pete worked 45 years as a construction electrician. He took great pride in his work and in mentoring new men and women into the trade. His motto was “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well”. This earned him the nickname “Old School”.
Pete wore blue jeans every day of his adult life, changing to black jeans for those special occasions! We encourage you to wear jeans and dress casually for his Prayer Service and Funeral.
