BECK, Mildred Mildred Beck 1932 – 2024 Mildred Mae Beck, beloved wife of the late Vern Beck, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the age of 92 years. The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 – 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Bow Island Cemetery. Mildred is survived by her daughter Deone Zmurchyk; grandson John (Roanna) Zmurchyk; great grandchildren Peter (Colby), Brody (Bradi), Caleb (Ayla), John (Karli), Dylan and Corby; great great granddaughter Harlynn Mae. She was predeceased by her husband Vern; granddaughter Jennifer Zmurchyk; son-in-law Peter Zmurchyk; parents Bert and Hilda Johnson; brothers Elmer Johnson and Carl Johnson; sisters Esther Hansen and Marion Ruggles; sisters-in-law Elaine Johnson and Tina (Clem) Bexte; brothers-in-law Tony Hansen and Harry Ruggles. Mildred was born on February 2, 1932 in Vauxhall to Bert and Hilda Johnson. She spent her early life in Vauxhall. In 1952 she married Vern Beck and together they pastored the Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Vauxhall until 1956. Their daughter Deone was born in 1952. They moved to Bow Island in 1959, then to Burdett in 1964, then returning back to Bow Island in 1979. They would spend their time there until 2017 when the decision was made to move to Lethbridge to be closer to family. Mildred’s greatest loves were her family, God, church and her beloved Blue Jays. BENNETT, Diane DIANE BENNETT 1939 – 2024 Mrs. Diane Bennett of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Michael Bennett, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at St. Michael’s Health Centre, at the age of 85 years.
On October 17, 1939, Diane was born, raised, and educated in Ottawa, Ontario. She moved to Edmonton in 1961 where she taught at McTavish Business College. In 1963, Diane moved to Lethbridge where she worked as a home maker raising her family. She was also an active volunteer and later a conference coordinator at the University of Lethbridge. In her retirement, Diane enjoyed travelling, golfing, volunteering, and enjoying her time at the Nordbridge Senior Center, she also enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
On March 30, 1964, Diane was married in Edmonton to Mr. Michael Bennett.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Michael Bennett; daughter Susan Bennett of Lethbridge; Robert (Melanie) Bennett of Lethbridge; brother Terrence Leahey of Victoria, British Columbia; brother-in-law Edward Truelove and their children Debra (Sajid) Ravosia, Darren Truelove, and Cheryl Truelove; four grandchildren Amy, Samantha (Brad), Danielle, and Michael; great granddaughter, Annabelle.
Diane has been predeceased by her parents Alfred and Evelyn Leahey; parents in law Arthur and Eva Bennett; sister-in-law Delma Truelove.
Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 28, 2024, at ARCHMOUNT CEMETERY, 2710 WESTSIDE DRIVE WEST, LETHBRIDGE, Alberta.

TIETZ, Edgar EDGAR TIETZ 1936 – 2024 Mr. Edgar Tietz of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Frieda Tietz, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
