Alice is survived by her two sons and their families Gary (Charlotte) Allred of Taber and their daughters Mackenzie Melind Allred (Trevor Feist) and their child Rebel Melind, Prairie (Dylan) Neufeld and their children Kyden, Hazel and Wrenlee, Abbey Allred (Troy Weston) and Daisy Allred (Brandan Brazzoni); Heath (Shareen) Allred of Springville, Utah and their children Angela Allred, Ashlyn (Moroni) Black and their child Imoen, and Nathan Allred. She is also survived by her brother Kent (Crystal) Douglas; sister Kim (Rick) Balazs; brother-in-law Bruce Heggie.
She was predeceased by her husband Gary Allred; twin sister Dallas Heggie; parents Barbara Christian and Milo Douglas.
Alice entered this life as an identical twin on May 30, 1947 in Milk River. Alice (aka Good heart and Gammie) brought light and laughter to every room she entered and left a pink sparkle everywhere she went.
Having patterned her life after the teachings and example of her Saviour, Alice had a fierce love of family that influenced every thought and action in her life. Her family was her most prized blessing. Tradition and heritage is something she prepared to leave behind for all her posterity to carry with them for generations to come. Whether it be a recipe, jewelry, something handmade, Alice painstakingly gathered and labelled treasures for all she would leave behind someday.
Alice learned many skills under the loving hands of her mother and grandmother, but was always eager to learn something new and in turn to share with and teach others.
Her greatest joy was in the rumbling chaos and laughter of her family, the many gatherings of us all and the extras we would bring into our fold. Gammie sat quietly in her chair smiling adoringly at fruits of her labour.
Alice will be painfully missed by all who were touched by her smile and laughter, her tough fighting spirit and her absolute joy in the beauty that surrounded her. She will be treasured through all the memories and gifts she has left behind and in every lady bug that crosses your path.
An extended thank you to all the healthcare workers who respectfully cared for Alice these last few years, as well as to Susie.
Arrangements in care of Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber. Telephone: (403) 223-8778.

KAUPP, Gordon GORDON HOWARD KAUPP 1957 ~ 2025 With heavy hearts we write to advise you that Gordon Kaupp passed away on May 14, 2025, with family at his bedside at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. Gordon was born October 28, 1957. He would say that he was a 57 Chevy.
Gordon loved his life. He had many happy moments growing up on the family farm a mile west of New Dayton, Alberta. Gordon played sports with his brothers, including hockey and baseball as well as other pursuits such as curling. We were farmers and athletes.
Gordon loved his parents, Howard and Frankie, and attended many family get-togethers and parties in the beautiful yard at the farm. Gordon learned much from his farm life, including mechanics, the love of fast cars, and his fondness for beer.
In April of 1978, Gordon married the love of his life, Pam Frache. They were married for 47 years and had three children: Kim, Curtis and Tyler. Gordon was very proud of his children and four grandchildren: Bailey, Reece, Ally and Aria. Gordon and Pam and the kids loved country music. It was like oxygen to them. The family attended many concerts in the U.S. and Canada. There were happy nights dancing together with the kids to a country tune. Gordon also owned a boat with his brother, and there were many fine memories fishing and water skiing.
Gordon enjoyed watching sports including hockey, football and baseball. He won many curling bonspiels with his brother Bill, Farley Kuehn and Bill Paulson. As a young man, Gordon attended SAIT in Calgary to study heavy duty mechanics. He also did plumbing and got a certificate in refrigeration. Gordon worked at the County of Warner for over 30 years and retired with a good pension. He started a baseball pool many years ago with Carson Mueller and won the pool a few times.
Gordon had his faults, as do we all, but he never thought he was better than anyone. Gordon made friends easily and will be greatly missed. Gordon Kaupp was 67.

SEREDA, Mary MARY SEREDA 1939 ~ 2025 Mary Sereda (nee Ponomar), better known to most as Baba, left her earthly home to live peacefully with her eternal Father, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 after a lengthy battle with dementia. Although dementia took away some of her cognitive abilities, it did not diminish her spirit or love for us.
Mom was born in Novy Buh, Ukraine on Aug 3, 1939, to Yuchim and Ahafia Ponomar. Her family left Ukraine and moved to Germany for several years before boarding the Ship S.S. Samaria in France on November 21, 1949, to arrive at Pier 21 in Halifax on November 30, 1949. They then boarded the train west to Magrath where they worked on the beet fields.
On a cold winter day in December of 1955, mom met dad (Alex Sereda) and the two were engaged on her birthday in 1956 and married October 27 the same year. Mom and Dad lived in Lethbridge until they were expecting their first child, Leona. That fall Mom and Dad bought their own farm in the Newlands district west of Kipp. The family grew; Peter, Zoia, and Irene completed their family. In 1964, they moved to the farm in Shaughnessy where they resided until 2004. At that time, Mom and Dad sold the farm and retired to Lethbridge. In 2017 they moved into St. Therese Villa. Mom was moved to Memory Care in September 2020. We are grateful for the care and support she received during her challenging journey.
Mary was predeceased by her father, Yuchim in 1964; mother, Ahafia, in 1973; great-granddaughter Cora Kraemer August 2015; husband Alex Sereda in December 2021; and grandson Kelly Kraemer in January 2022.
Mom is survived by daughter Leona (Kevin) Kraemer; Jason (Jackie) Jaxon, Jonas; son Peter (Lori) Sereda, Nicholas (Kristie), Westin, Montgomery, Beau; Nathan (Naomi); Nolan, Isabella; Nevin (Charlee); daughter Zoia (Daryl) Schacher, Tanessa Holden, Macrae, Payce; Braeson (Katherine); daughter Irene (Gord) Schussler, Jaylene (Lance) Maren, Rhett, Lindi; Deiryk (Hannah) Hunter, Garrett, Kaleb, Marijka, Jed; Clayton (Myriah).
Mom is remembered for her gentle, easy-going and fun-loving nature, support, and unwavering love.
We love you dearly and forever.
Many thanks to the staff of St. Therese Villa and Dr. Stitt for their great care of mom over the years.
A Come and Go Viewing will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.
