By Lethbridge Herald Obituaries on June 3, 2025.

FRASER, “Ronald” Ron” RONALD “RON” FRASER 1943 ~ 2025 Ron Fraser, the beloved husband of Sharon Fraser, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 22, 2025, after a brief illness. He was 82.
Ron will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Sharon Fraser (nee Hanson); sons Colin (Darlene) Fraser of Calgary and Neil (Tiffany) Fraser of Lethbridge; grandchildren Natalie (Caleb) Tweed, Kathryn Fraser, Andrew Fraser, and Quinn Fraser; and a great-grandson, Leo Tweed as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Ron is survived by his sister, Karen (Wally) Dorchak of Vulcan, and predeceased by his parents, Alec and Jean Fraser, brothers Bob Fraser and Gord Fraser, sister-in-law Sharon Fraser and grandson Matthew Fraser.
Born in Vulcan on February 19, 1943, and raised in Lomond, Ron moved to Lethbridge after stops in Carstairs and Calgary to open Silver Automotive in 1971. Ron retired from the day-to-day operation of Silver in 2011 and continued to have a presence at the store until his passing.
Ron balanced running a successful business and travelling many kilometers to support Colin, Neil, and his grandchildren in their sporting and artistic pursuits. It was his greatest joy, whether travelling with Colin to the 1977 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA or driving Neil for games and practices in some of the coldest hockey arenas in Alberta. Ron enjoyed sports and was a season ticket holder for almost 50 years with the Lethbridge Broncos and Hurricanes and rarely missed watching NASCAR races and curling at home. In retirement, Ron and Sharon spent several winters in Arizona and travelled the world.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 2025, AT MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 STREET SOUTH, LETHBRIDGE, Alberta, with Reverend Carolyn Langford, officiating.
