SMITH, Sharon SMITH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mom and grandma, SHARON ANN SMITH on June 14, 2025 in Lethbridge at the age of 77 years.
Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Noel Smith, daughter Jodi (Clayton) Gurr, grandsons Colten (Kylee) Gurr, Kyle Gurr and bonus granddaughter Kayla.
Sharon was born August 14, 1947 to Edward and Nora Kroetsch and grew up in the Heisler area. She married Noel in 1976 and they spent many years together, traveling extensively across Canada and living in various places. We often referred to them as ‘gypsies’ as they resided in multiple homes and were always ready to pack up and move.
Mom was a very kind, generous and loving woman. She loved her family fiercely and was very excited about Colten and Kylee’s new arrival, baby Westen, due in September. Over the years we have shared many laughs and special memories. Mom will be missed so much every day but we are all thankful to have been blessed with her in our lives.
We would like to thank Dr. Mueller and the staff at the Lethbridge Hospital for the excellent care they gave her.
As per Sharon’s request there will be no Funeral Service. A private Graveside Service will take place at a later date in Heisler, where she wished to be buried by her parents and brother. Cremation has been entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
We will miss you so much, Mom.
