Joe passed away after a lengthy illness.
There will be no funeral. Family gathering at a later date.

HAAF, Victor HAAF It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of VICTOR HAAF.
Victor was born on March 13, 1937 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and left the world at age 88, August 5th, 2025 at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
He leaves behind two children, Michael (Sheryl) and Marla (Scott), to cherish his memory. Also feeling this great loss are his five grandchildren, Dustin (Sheena), Ashley (Adrian), Derek (Aline), Dalton, and Jasmine; and three great-grandchildren Donavin, Jace and Cade. Victor is also survived by two siblings, Clarence (Colleen) and Loretta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Victor left an impression on everyone he encountered. He was blessed with a wicked sense of humour and could make anyone laugh. He was strong-willed and believed in working hard, being good to your friends and kind to animals. Although he had to leave school early to work on his parent’s farm, he was intelligent and wise and loved discussing politics, sometimes playing devil’s advocate to stir up some heated debates.
Victor worked most of his life on his farm, raising cattle in a compassionate manner, tending to the chickens, pigs and dairy cows. He affectionately named his dairy cows and spent a lot of time making sure they were well-fed and had lots of room to roam. He also enjoyed spending his time at auction sales, chatting with the other farmers and passionately discussing everything from livestock to farming tips.
We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors from 4C at Chinook Regional Hospital for treating Victor with dignity, kindness and compassion in his final days. While there will be no funeral service, those wishing to make a donation to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, please email info@crhfoundation.ca.
Victor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation, with a private interment at a later date.

MOLNAR, Carolyne CAROLYNE MARY MOLNAR August 30, 1943 ~ August 3, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyne Mary Molnar, beloved wife of Aldan John Molnar of Lethbridge, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Carol is lovingly remembered by her daughters Lana (Dale) Peters and Krista (Rob) Terry of Lethbridge, granddaughters Danielle Peters, Payton (Dillon) Terry and Hannah (Zaid) Terry, brother Jack (Marlene) Davis, niece Rhonda (Curtis) Croal of Weyburn, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Donna Davis, her sister-in-law Heather Davis and her nephew Quinn Davis.
Carolyne was born on August 30, 1943, in Weyburn, SK, to Thomas and Donna Davis. She was sister to Jack who had been born two years earlier. Carolyne grew up on the Brock Farm northwest of Yellow Grass, SK. There were always chores to do being a farm girl like cleaning the barn or feeding the pigs. She attended Waverly grade school. In those days the only way to school was by horse and buggy. She finished her high school in Weyburn, SK, after her family moved to the Porter Farm north of Talmage, SK. Upon graduation, Carol took psychiatric nursing at the Weyburn Mental Hospital. While in training, Carol met the love of her life Aldan Molnar on a blind date. They were married on September 5, 1964, in the Yellow Grass United Church. Together they started their new journey of life spanning over 60 years. Carol also worked for the Red Cross Blood Services team for several years in Regina.
They had two children along the way, Lana in 1966 and Krista in 1970. Carol would say her greatest accomplishment in life would be her two children and three grandchildren, Payton (1999), Danielle (1999) and Hannah (2000). She always made sure that her children were well provided for and was very generous. She was always there for them and often said “they were her world”.
Grandma never took her job lightly and was always spoiling the grandchildren, even letting them have ice cream for breakfast on their summer vacation. It was during these times the grandchildren learned how to bake moon cookies (almond crescents) which was a Christmas time staple and favorite for them all.
When you marry a banker there was always moving involved and Carol was quick to make new friends every stop along the way in such communities as Winnipeg, Regina, St. Albert and Carstairs.
After Aldan’s retirement they remained in Carstairs, becoming fully involved in the community and making many long-lasting friendships. Carol enjoyed cooking, gardening, golfing and curling. She also enjoyed a good card game when money was involved. Carol had a bubbly personality, infectious laugh, positive attitude and would always go out of her way to lend a helping hand. She loved to travel, and they went on many winter vacations to Nashville, South Carolina, Las Vegas, California and Arizona.
They moved back to Lethbridge in 2021 to be closer to the family as Carol began to show signs of dementia. Aldan remained by her side to be her loving support and caregiver until her passing.
Carol’s family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Chinook Regional Hospital for their wonderful compassion and care of Carol.
A Celebration to honour Carol’s life will be held at the Carstairs and Community Half Century Centre, 1139 Osler St., Carstairs, AB on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol’s name to the Alberta Alzheimer Society.
