ENTZ, Mary ENTZ MARY ENTZ, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Chinook Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in 1936, Mary grew up on New Elm colony, and married her beloved husband Elias Entz on June 15, 1960. She served as the head cook of New Elm Colony for 16 years, and she loved every minute of it. In 2002, Mary, along with her husband, moved to Coalhurst after being born again and accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved reading her bible each day and attending church every Sunday. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved each and every one of them fiercely.
Mary is survived by her daughter Rosa Entz, and her two sons Levi (Emma) Entz and Matthew (Rosa) Entz; her brother David (Julia) Entz, sister Anna Waldner (Jonathan; deceased), and brother Samuel (Dorothy) Entz. She was the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Elias Entz, her parents Jacob and Elisabeth Entz, five brothers and two sisters, and her precious granddaughter Helen Neudorf.
Though she will be deeply missed here on earth, we have the blessed assurance of seeing her again in the resurrection.
A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Matthew Entz officiating.
Following the Funeral Service, Mary will be laid to rest in the Stirling Cemetery.

TOKAI, Shirley TOKAI SHIRLEY JOYCE TOKAI, of Lethbridge, AB, formally of Picture Butte, beloved wife of the late Joseph Tokai, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the age of 87 years.
As per Shirley’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.

WALTON, Mark WALTON MARK EDWARD WALTON, of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the age of 57 years. He is survived by his brother Steve.
Mark is predeceased by his mother Margaret Walton.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mark at a later date.

SNIP, Gerald SNIP March 23, 1947 – September 16, 2025 GERALD LAMBERTUS SNIP, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Rika Snip, father of Erika (Adam) Pappas, Martha (Jeremie) Boulianne and Maria (Nicholas) Castle, and grandfather to Cade and Adelaide Boulianne, and Samantha and Nathaniel Castle, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the age of 78 years.
Gerald was a faithful Christian, an agricultural salesman, father, husband, and grandfather, who collected friends wherever he went. We will miss him deeply.

PERKINSON, Verda VERDA MAY (ORR) PERKINSON 1931 ~ 2025 Verda May (Orr) Perkinson peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Verda will be laid to rest beside the “Love of Her Life”, William Rae “Bill” Perkinson.

KARSTEN, Brad BRAD KARSTEN July 21, 1981 ~ September 13, 2025 Bradley Jay Karsten of Coalhurst, passed away suddenly in a fatal car accident on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the age of 44 years.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife Stephenie; his much-loved children Lucas and Sawyer. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, Dad and Mom Allan & Erna; sisters Andrea (Mike) Nieboer, Kelly Janzen, Ashley (Ryan) Cleghorn; in-laws Yvonne Chester, Mike (Tia) Chester, brother Mike (Jena) Chester, step-siblings Karey and Hal (Rachel) and eleven nephews and nieces who will miss his banter.
Brad was known for his big smile, his cheerfulness, his friendliness and his willingness to help others. He loved people and he loved working. He loved his job with his work family at Elrich Tire. Most of all, he loved being with his kids and Steph. He Loved Jesus.
A Celebration of Brad’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 22, 2025 at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF LETHBRIDGE, 4717 – 24 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

SPOTTED BULL, Joe SPOTTED BULL JOE SPOTTED BULL, I’ihkítópiawákimma, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and respected Elder of the Blood Tribe, passed away surrounded by his family on September 14, 2025. At just 15, Joe met the love of his life, Helen, and together they shared 68 years of marriage. They raised three children: Alvin (Madeline), the late Melodie, and Karen. Their family grew to include 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom Joe cherished deeply. He is survived by his wife Helen, his children, grandchildren, and many siblings, relatives, and adopted family members. He is predeceased by his parents Mary Eva Medicine Crane and Edward Spotted Bull Sr., his daughter Melodie, grandson Dorian “Boss” Spotted Bull, and siblings Fred, Winston, Catherine, and Bernice. Joe worked in farming, carpentry, and irrigation, including 16 years at Kanegawa Farms, five years in Yakima, WA, and later as foreman at Maataki Farms. He also served as a Blood Tribe Councilor in 1992. Respected across the Blackfoot Confederacy, Joe was a spiritual leader, singer, and knowledge keeper who dedicated his life to preserving and sharing Blackfoot traditions. He traveled widely throughout Canada and the U.S. to conduct ceremonies and support communities. He also served as an Elder with the Kainai Board of Education, Blood Tribe Agricultural Project (BTAP), Kainai Peacemakers, AFN (as Alberta Elder), and Kainai Children Services – among many other departments and boards throughout his life. Joe will be remembered as a proud Nitsitapi – “Real Person” – a champion chicken dancer, and above all, a man who loved and supported his family with all his heart. His teachings and spirit will continue to guide generations to come. A Wake Service for Joe will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Friday, September 19 from 6:00 – 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

ROGERS, James ROGERS JAMES FREDERICK ROGERS Jr., of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Jina Rogers, passed away following a long battle with his health, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the age of 83 years.
At James’ request, no formal funeral will be held.
