Canes take big series lead

The Lethbridge midget AAA Hurricanes have grabbed a stranglehold in their first-round series.
The Canes defeated the Okotoks Bow Mark Oilers 5-1 in Game 2 of the teams’ best-of-five series Thursday night in Okotoks.
The win give the Hurricanes a 2-0 series lead as Lethbridge goes for the sweep in Game 3 tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Logan Boulet Arena.
Joel Mabin, Derrien Tonin, Cole Larocque, Rylen Roersma and Brogan Booth scored for the Hurricanes Thursday night. Goaltender Ty Young backstopped Lethbridge to the win, making 20 saves.
