Amid a flurry of activity at the NHL trade deadline, a local player was among the transactions.
The Calgary Flames traded Taber product and defenceman Brandon Davison to the San Jose Sharks for future considerations as the 1 p.m., local time, trade deadline ticked down Monday afternoon.
Davidson played seven games with the Flames this season, going pointless and minus-two.
The six-foot-two, 208-pound defenceman had three goals and 20 points in 34 games with the Flames American Hockey League affiliate Stockton Heat this season after signing with the Flames last summer.
Davidson has played 169 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks and Flames, scoring nine goals and 23 points.
