Midget AAA Canes topped in Game 5

The Lethbridge midget AAA Hurricanes playoff run has come to an end.
The Canes were edged 3-2 by the Calgary Flames in the fifth-and-deciding game in the teams’ Alberta Midget Hockey League South Division semifinal Friday night in Calgary.
Lethbridge had forced Game 5 with an 8-2 win Wednesday night at the Logan Boulet Arena.
Cole Larocque and Joel Mabin scored for the Hurricanes. Ty Young was in goal for Lethbridge.
In the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League South Division Sutter Cup, the Lethbridge Headwater midget 15s finished the round-robin 2-0-1 following a 5-3 win over the Calgary CRAA Blue.
Peyton Twigg, Vann Yuhas, Caden Heins, Braigh LeGrandeur and Malachai North Peigan scored for the Hurricanes.
Kaiden Fulton stopped 30 shots.
