Hurricanes swing deal for conditional draft pick

The Lethbridge Hurricanes acquired a conditional draft pick in a deal Monday.
The Canes announced they acquired a conditional 2023 draft pick from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for 2001-born defenseman Zach Ashton.
Hailing from Calgary, the 19-year-old Ashton was originally acquired by the Hurricanes in October from the Seattle Thunderbirds.
In 2019-20, Ashton played in 41 games with Seattle, posting seven assists and going minus-9 with 27 penalty minutes.
