Nagy, Easthope make the cut at Alberta Mid Amateur in Edmonton

Two players out of a contingent of five have made the cut at the Alberta Men’s Mid Amateur Championship Tuesday in Edmonton.
Lethbridge’s Justin Nagy of the Paradise Canyon Golf Resort shot a second-day 74 after an opening day 76 for a two-day total of 150, good for a tie for 24th and enough to make the cut.
Cardston’s Melvin Easthope also made the cut thanks to a round of 77 Tuesday for a two-round 153 to place him tied for 41st.
Magrath’s Russell Maxwell (79, 79), Lethbridge’s Ryan O’Donnell (82, 79) and Magrath’s Mitch Maxwell (92, 86), missed the cut.
The final round goes today.
