Easthope places ninth at Alberta Mens Mid Amateur Championship

Cardston’s Melvin Easthope made a considerable jump up the leaderboard during the last day of the 2021 Alberta Mens Mid Amateur Championship Wednesday in Edmonton.
Easthope carded a final-round 68 for a three-day total of 221 to move up 32 spots and finish in a three-way tie for ninth.
Easthope shot a 76 on opening day Monday and followed that up with 77 Tuesday.
Lethbridge’s Justin Nagy of the Paradise Canyon Golf Resort shot a final-round 78 on Wednesday to finish at 228 and a six-way tie for 28th.
Nagy shot 76 Monday and 74 Tuesday.
