With their Western Hockey League season opener taking the Enmax Centre ice tomorrow night, the Lethbridge Hurricanes announced a roster move Wednesday.
The Hurricanes announced 2005-born forward Cole Miller has returned home to Edmonton for personal reasons.
The six-foot-four 174-pound forward was drafted by the Hurricanes in the first round and 16th overall in the 2020 WHL bantam draft.
Miller played 11 games with the Hurricanes in the COVID-19 shortened 2021 season, scoring once.
He was held pointless in four exhibition games this season.
“There will be no further comment from the Lethbridge Hurricanes while the club requests that Miller’s privacy be respected,” said the team in a statement.
