Rachel Nicol has been called up.
And the Lethbridge product and Olympic swimmer will be doing a little international travel to answer that call.
Nicol, who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the 100m breaststroke, will be joining the Washington D.C. Trident of the International Swimming League in the playoff phase of the team’s ISL season.
Nicol leaves Sunday with the competition running Nov. 11-28 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Nicol, who narrowly missed her second Summer Olympics berth at time trials in Toronto this past summer, was drafted by the Trident shortly afterwards.
