The Lethbridge Hurricanes continued their lengthy road trip with a stop in Regina to face the Pats on Friday Night.
Justin Hall of the Hurricanes opened the scoring with his 30th goal of the year at the 6:47 mark of the first period with a powerplay goal.
The Pats replied with a goal of their own from Cole Dubinsky almost four minutes later to tie the game at one.
Regina would strike again when Zack Stringer scored his ninth of the year at 17:54 to give the Pats a 2-1 lead going into the first intermission.
Connor Bedard notched his 35th goal of the year just 1:58 into the second to make it 3-1 for the home side.
The Canes’ Jett Jones scored with two seconds left in the middle frame to make the score 3-2 heading into the final stanza.
Nolan Bentham would tie the game at 3 at 7:35 of the final frame.
However, the Pats’ Braxton Whitehead would get the game winner at 15:30 of the third to lift Regina to a 4-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Shots were 24-22 in favour of the Hurricanes.
Lethbridge went 2-for-5 on the powerplay and the Pats when 0-for-2.
The Hurricanes fall to 2-3-1 on the East Division road trip and to 23-27-3-1 overall.
The last stop for the Hurricanes on the road trip is in Moose Jaw tonight at 6 p.m. MT.
