Local teams see success in Bridge Battle tournament

The Lethbridge Ringette Association hosted its annual Bridge Battle tournament this past weekend.

“The association saw strong showings from all of the local teams participating including silver medals for U 12C, U 14C, U 14A (and) bringing home the championship banner this year were the U 10 Step 3 Yellow team, U 12 B, U 12 A and Open C,” said Cara Parks LRA president.

This year’s tournament was consdered the biggest yet, as 51 teams participated from right across the province.

  Divisions participating included U 10 Step 1,2,3; U 12 A,B,C; U 14 A, C; U 16 B, U 19A, Open A, and Open C.

“The event, which contributes over $1 million dollars to the Lethbridge economy ran from Friday to Sunday, utilizing 4 of the cities ice surfaces,” said Parks

 The Lethbridge Ringette Association would like to thank the over 700 athletes and their families for attending their event.
