Lethbridge College Kodiaks basketball team swept the home-and-home with the St. Mary’s University Lightning after two road victories on Saturday.
The women’s team (9-5) started the night with a narrow 67-59 win.
Kitawna Sparks led the way with 22 points and Annah Westrop put up 10 points.
Tylee Leavitt had 13 points as a reserve player.
Matlin Jacobs had four assists and Sparks had three assists.
The Kodiaks won 93-69 the night before at Lethbridge College.
The men’s team (11-3) won 93-84.
Paycen Blackmore paced the Kodiaks with 17 points, while Mason Hoffman scored 14 points.
Filip Karanovic had 11 points and four assists as a reserve player.
Christopher Schlauwitz and Chris Thomson had three assists each.
The win comes on the heels of a 79-69 win on Friday at home.
Both teams will prepares for a home-and-home set with Ambrose University on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, the indoor track team had a strong opening weekend to its season at the first grand prix in Edmonton.
The boys won their side and the girls placed fourth.
