The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs opened up the second half of their Canadian College Baseball Conference with a split with Edmonton Collegiate over the weekend.
PBA opened by edging EC 4-3 on Friday afternoon.
Logan King led the way for the Dawgs with one run on two hits while driving in two RBIs.
Max Benton went seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out four batters.
The outcome in the second Friday game was a completely different story as EC avenged an earlier loss with an 8-3 win.
Nick Gravel had two hits and two RBIs and King had two hits and one RBI in the losing cause.
Ty Schaffer pitcher 4.2 innings, while giving up five runs on six hits and striking out three batters.
In the first Saturday game, the Dawgs got back in track with a 2-1 win.
Aidan Gehring had one run and supplied two hits and King supplied the other run for PBA.
Aidan Newton pitched 6.2 innings, allowing six hits and giving up a run.
PBA closed out the weekend with a 7-3 loss.
Carter Claerhout, Sam Hilgersom and King scored for PBA.
Starting pitcher Dawson Schultz tossed five innings, allowing four runs on two hits.
PBA (14-6) are in Calgary today and tomorrow taking on the University of Calgary Dinos before returning home this weekend to take on the University of Fraser Valley Cascades for four games on Saturday and Sunday.
