A night after giving up 22 runs to the same opponent a night earlier in a loss , the Lethbridge Bulls got redemption on the Brooks Bombers with a 10-4 win on Thursday night at Spitz Stadium.

“Yeah, it was good to you know  have all cylinders firing tonight,” said Bulls third baseman Torrin Vaselenak.

“So we just didn’t put it all together last night. So tonight’s good to comeback from that.”

Vaselenak thought in the quick turnaround that the team needed to get the pitching ,hitting  and defence going.

“You know, we just gave up a few too many runs last night and couldn’t come back from it. So having all  three  of those things working together was the key for us.”

The Bulls got the scoring started in their half of the first inning as Jackson Kalisky hit a one out single before ending up on third through errors, while scoring  Kalem Haney and Josh Kabayama.

The next batter was Torrin Vaselenak and he hit a sacrifice fly to score Kalisky to give the Bulls a 3-0 lead early in the game.

The Bombers got on the board in their half of the third inning as Zander Bretza hit a single to cash in Jeremiah Sanchez and Jake Griffith to make the score 3-2.

Once the game hit the bottom of the third inning , the Bulls exploded for six runs to on five hits to take a 9-2 lead.

Vaselenak led off the fourth inning with a triple before Justin Willis drove him in with a single to get Lethbridge’s 10th run of the game.

The Bombers Peyton Starr hit a single in the fifth inning to score Harrison Griffith to make the score 10-3 for the Bulls.

Brooks fourth run also came in the fifth inning when Eric Rataczak drew a walk with the bases loaded to walk home Jake Griffith.

The Bombers got the better of the Bulls on Wednesday night in Brooks with a 22-8 win.

Lethbridge improved to 6-3 on the season with the win and will host the Sylvan Lake Gulls tonight at 7:05.
