Lethbridge Bulls starting pitcher Javier De Alejandro threw a complete game, no hitter to propel his team to a 7-0 win over the Brooks Bombers on Wednesday night at Spitz Stadium.

The only blemish for De Alejandro was a team error that5 was committed.

“Yeah he was absolutely dominant,” said Bulls coach Chance Wheatley.

“You know that’s as good as we have ever seen him and you know, throwing the first no hitter in (24 years) in Bulls history… I think that kind of says it all.”

Wheatley said he was manning the zone and obviously throwing a no hitter.

“You never want (take out) a guy with a no hitter. You know he had a low pitch count. I’m not going to take a guy out when it’s like that.”

The Bulls got the scoring started in the second inning.

Josh Kabayama advanced to first on an error by the right fielder before ending up on second ,and on the play scored Kalem Haney and Kyle Yip to give Lethbridge an early 2-0 lead.

Cardel Dick led off the bottom the third inning with a solo home run over the left field fence to give the Bulls a 3-0 lead.

Dick continued to help with the Bulls lead when he hit a one-out sacrifice fly to score Jackson Clemett for Lethbridge’s fourth run in the fourth inning.

Haney drove in Yip with a single in the seventh inning to make the score 5-0.

Lethbridge scored two more runs in eighth inning to make the score 7-0.

Carlin Dick hit a single to score Torrin Vaselenak.

Nick Gravel reached base on an error by the second baseman, allowing Carter Claerhout to jaunt in from third base.

“We played well and Javy led it,” said Wheatley.

Nkoski Didder only lasted four innings for Brooks where he allowed four runs on five hits and struck out four batters.

The Bulls beat the Bombers 5-1 on Tuesday night on the road and beat the league-leading Okotoks Dawgs 4-1 on Monday night and are perfect 3-0 after the all-star break.

The Bulls (23-18 will look to make it four wins in a row when they host the Dawgs tonight at 7:05 p.m. before beginning a six game road trip in Moose Jaw on Friday night.
