The Lethbridge Bulls lost their second to last road game of the regular season 7-6 to the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Thursday night.

Medicine Hat’s Brady Bean hit a double in the first inning to score Adam Vulcano and gave the Mavericks an early 1-0 lead.

The Mavs added on to their lead in the third inning when Bean hit a single to score Brody Gardner and made the score 2-0.

Adam Vulcano scored on an Andrew Savage sacrifice fly to make the score 3-0 Mavs through three innings.

The Bulls stormed back with three runs in the fifth inning to tie the game 3-3.

Jackson Kalisky scored on a Demitri Shakotko single for the Bulls first run.

Jackson Clemett then scored on an error to first base that led Teigan Parenteau to reach second base to make the score 3-2.

A Kalem Haney double scored Parenteau to tie the score.

Medicine Hat took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fifth when a fielder’s choice scored Gardner.

The Mavericks continued to put up the runs in the sixth inning with three more.

A Gardner fielder’s choice plated Johnny Vulcano, while an Adam Vulcano single scored another pair to make the score 7-3.

Lethbridge got a run back in the seventh inning as a Josh Kabayama single scored Shakotko to bring the score to within three runs.

The Bulls scored two in the ninth but that’s as close as they would come.

Riley Pearce scored on a Kabayama ground out while Haney scored on a Torrin Vaselenak single.

Javier De Alejandro took the loss on the mound for the Bulls and Bryce Libke took the win for the Mavs.

The Bulls host the Okotoks Dawgs in their last regular season home game tonight at Spitz Stadium at 7:05 p.m.
