The Winston Churchill Bulldogs football team came up with a crucial 38-14  victory over the Catholic Central Cougars on Friday night.

“Yeah I think our O-line (offensive line) played a heck of a game. They worked hard all game, all the way through the fourth quarter  and continued to drive the ball down the field, ” said Bulldogs head coach Jonathan Dick.

“So I think we were able to capitalize on that (and) completed a couple nice passes which was great as well.”

Churchill had a strong second half by focusing on their game.

“I think just having the boys focus in on what they’re doing (and) not lose their composure and give up any big scores,” said Dick.

“I mean we gave up a few big passes. CCH is always a strong team and always give us a good battle and we’ve slugged it out in the past and this year they got a good, young quarterback. He’s throwing the ball nice. So to just try and keep our composure and not give up any of those great big passes.”

Olivier Koribikomeye thought he played well and gave props to his offensive line for blocking.

“I just worked hard and it showed on the field today,” he said.
