The Saskatoon Blades picked up their 37th win of the year after defeating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 3-1 at Sask Tel Centre on Tuesday night.
The Blades’ Fraser Minten scored his 15th of the season with 5:13 to go in the first period to give Saskatoon a 1-0 lead.
Grayden Siepmann and Charlie Wright assisted on the goal.
Saskatoon took a 2-0 lead just 4:48 into the second period when Misha Volotovskii found the back of the net for his seventh of the year from Siepmann and Rhett Melnyk.
Will Sharpe cut the Blades lead to 2-1 when he scored his third of the year from Brayden Edwards and Miguel Marques just two minutes later after Volotovskii’s goal.
Easton Armstrong sealed it for the Blades with his 27th of the year 14:19 into the second period.
Minten and Brandon Lisowsky assisted on Armstrong’s goal.
Final shots were 36-17 for the Blades.
The Canes (24-21-3-0) continue their four game road trip when they visit the Prince Albert Raiders tonight at 6 p.m.
