Time is ticking for people to get their tickets for next week’s Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the 2024 class.

Inductees include boxer Carmen Rinke, kickboxer Brad Wall,  Judge John A Jackson, who passed away years ago, for multisport, soccer coach Randy Bardock, judo athlete Michael Tamura and the Cooney family for speed skating.

The Kinsmen Sports Persons of the Year are going to Kacie Bosch and Paige Crozon for 3×3 basketball and lacrosse player Conner Cook.

“We’ve seen really good support from the inductees who are going in,” said Paul Kingsmith, LSHOF chair.

“Like their communities, the people around them, they’ve been great, they’re buying tables and they’re willing to come out and support and we love to see that and it’s great that way. It is just sort of a unique class that doesn’t have the sheer number of people going in that we’ve had in recent classes. So that does kind of account for why our numbers are down a bit heading into this year.”

Tickets are available on the Enmax Centre website or at the box office until the end of this weekend.

LSHOF’s induction ceremony is on May 3 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Western Canadian Bank Lounge.

More information on the inductees and the banquet can be found at http://www.lethbridgesportshalloffame.ca.
