Bombers score 10 runs in win over Bulls on Tuesday night

The Brooks Bombers tamed the Lethbridge  Bulls with a 10-6  win on Tuesday night at Spitz Stadium.

The Bombers got on the board first as a  Kelton Phillips ground out scored Jouseph Gelpi on the play in the first inning.

Brooks made it 2-0 in the first when Anthony Gilbert hit an RBI single to score Payton Matthews.

Jacob Gillis hit a single in the third inning to score Matthews to make it 3-0 Brooks.

Gelpi hit an opposite field home run in the fourth inning to make the score 4-0 for the Bombers.

The Bulls got a run back in the bottom of the fourth inning  as Scott Hansen scored on a Riley Pearce ground out to make the score 4-1.

Brooks added to their lead in the fifth when Maddox Shaver hit a bases-clearing triple to make it 7-1.

A Lethbridge Bulls error allowed Shaver to cross the plate for Brooks eighth run of the contest .

Jack Kalisky hit an RBI single to score Carlin Dick from second base to make the score 8-2 in the eighth inning.

The Bombers scored two more in the top of the ninth courtesy of a Gelpi triple.

Dick hit a two-out RBI double  to score Tyler Monroe for the Bulls third run of the game in the ninth.

Dick scored later on an error by the Brooks catcher to make it 10-4.

Kalisky would step up to the plate with  two outs and hit a two-run home run to cut Brooks lead to 10-6.

Brooks had 10 runs on 12 hits and the Bulls had six runs on nine hits.

Brayden Dewitt took the loss for the Bulls while Grant Harvill was the winning pitcher for the Bombers.

The loss comes after a 12-4 loss in Okotoks on Sunday and a 1-0 win over the same Bombers on Saturday.

The Bulls begin a five-game road trip tonight against the Edmonton Prospects.
