Gulls tame the Bulls on Thursday

The Sylvan Lake Gulls tamed the Lethbridge Bulls with an 11-2 win in Central Alberta during Western Canadian Baseball League action on Thursday night 

Tyler Monroe and Kyle Yip scored the only runs for the Bulls, while Adonis Bernal was the lone bright spot at plate as he went 2-for-4.

Javier De Alejandro took the loss for the Bulls after giving up five runs on 11 hits in five innings of work.

Gavin Roy had a big night at the plate for the Gulls as he went 2-for-5, scoring two runs, adding a home run and hitting in four RBIs.

Finbar O’Brien was the winning pitcher as he pitched six innings ,allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six.

The Bulls gave up 11 runs on 15 hits, while the Gulls gave up two runs on five hits.

Both teams tangle again tonight in Sylvan Lake at 7:05 p.m.

The Bulls began a five-game road trip on Wednesday by not playing their game against the Edmonton Prospects as the game was cancelled and postponed to Saturday due to inclement weather.

There will be a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

The Bulls currently are 8-8 on the season.
