Miners hit 20-win mark

The Lethbridge Miners hit the 20-win mark after four road wins over the weekend in  American Legion A baseball action.

The Miners concluded the weekend with doubleheader victory scores of 10-1 and 7-5 in Great Falls against the Chargers on Sunday.

Lethbridge beat the Lewistown Red Birds 11-1 and 11-4 respectively on Saturday.

 The single A American Legion team sit in second place with a 20-6 record and finish the regular season with a doubleheader in Medicine Hat on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the AA Lethbridge Elks were swept in Billings over the weekend.

The Elks lost 8-5 and 3-1 respectively on Sunday before dropping the series finale 10-4 on Monday.

They will play their last home game of the season on July 22 versus Great Falls.
