The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s rugby team claimed this year’s edition of the Suggitt Cup with a 29-24 win over the University of Alberta Pandas on Saturday in Edmonton.
The win gave the Horns a sweep of the mini-two game series between the two teams for the annual cup after U of L won the opening leg 39 -15 earlier in the season.
The annual Suggitt Cup is in honour of former Horns coach Rick Suggitt, who passed away in 2017, both coached and left an impact on both teams.
Men’s soccer
The Horn men’s soccer team settled for a 0-0 tie at the University of Saskatchewan on Saturday.

The men’s team will be back in action when they host the University of Calgary Dinos on Oct. 18 and finish out the regular season by hosting Mount Royal on Oct. 20.
Women’s soccer
