The LCI Clippers varsity girls volleyball team will play in one semi-final this morning for the right to play in the 4A provincial championship gold medal match later this afternoon on home court.
The Clippers knocked off Western Canada Redhawks in the quarterfinals with a match score of 3-1 in four sets (25- 16, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15) on Friday to reach a semi-final.
Both semi-finals are today at 10:15 a.m. at Lethbridge Polytechnic.
The gold and bronze medal matches are at 4:30 p.m. at Lethbridge Polytechnic.
The LCI Rams boys varsity team lost their quarter-final match in five sets to the All Saints (17-25, 25-23, 25-19, 17-25, 13-15) on Friday.
LCI plays Paul Kane today at 10 a.m. in the fifth, sixth/ seventh, eighth place bracket.
The Catholic Central Cougars varsity boys team also lost their quarter-final match to Jasper Place in five sets (25-18, 27-25, 22-25, 20-25,15-9).
CCH will also play through same bracket as LCI bracket against Ross Sheppard at LCI this morning at 10 a.m.
Winners of these two games go on to play in the fifth place game and the losers play in the seventh/eighth place game at 2:15 p.m. at the Polytechnic.
The numbers first in the scores are from the local teams.
