Headwater Hurricanes’ winning streak comes to an end

The Lethbridge Headwater Hurricanes 17AAA’s three-game winning streak came to an end after a pair of home losses over the weekend.

The Canes lost to the division-leading Okotoks Oilers 5-2 on Friday.

Parker Fleishhauer and Barrett Van Nistelrooy scored for Lethbridge in the losing effort.

Lucas Pasemko saved 32-of-36 shots in the Canes crease.

The Calgary Royals came in on Sunday and snagged a 4-1 win over Lethbridge.

Owen Demone scored the lone goal for Canes.

Talyn Matthews saved 40-of-44 shots for Lethbridge.

The U17AAA hockey club’s record is now below .500 with a 6-7 record and sit in fifth place.
